1 Sumber Daya Manusia Human Resources Perusahaan berkeyakinan bahwa sumber daya manusia yang profesional, tangguh, ko m peten, d an d a p at diandalkan adalah kunci kesuksesan Perusahaan dalam mewujudkan visinya. Pelatihan Pengembangan su m ber d aya m anusia secara berkesinambungan dilakukan oleh Perusahaan melalui program pelatihan dan pengembangan yang sistematis dan berkualitas tinggi. Di tahun 2007, total program pelatihan ada 21 program mencakup pelatihan manajerial maupun teknik guna meningkatkan performa produksi sekaligus mempertahankan mutu produk yang berkualitas tinggi. Fasilitas Karya w an Perusahaan menyediakan beraneka ragam fasilitas kesejahteraan karyawan, yang meliputi klinik kesehatan dan imunisasi, koperasi karyawan, khitanan massal, bantuan Ongkos Naik Haji, serta fasilitas rekreasi dan olah raga. Tenaga Kerja Pada akhir tahun 2007 tenaga kerja Perusahaan berjumlah orang. Total jumlah karyawan Perusahaan pada tahun 2007 sedikit mengalami kenaikan dibandingkan dengan tahun 2006 sejumlah orang. Dari orang karyawan, sebanyak orang (86%) bekerja di divisi ban, orang (11%) bekerja di divisi kain ban dan 298 orang (3%) di divisi SBR. Training Continuous human resource development is carried out by the Company through systematic and high quality training and development programs. In 2007, a total of 21 training programs were executed in manageraial as well as technical areas to improve production performance as well as to maintain a high level of product quality. Employee Facilities The Company provides various facilities to improve the e m ployee s w ell-b ein g, w hich inclu d es healt h a n d i m m u n i z a t i o n cli n ics, e m p l o y e e c o-o p e r a t iv es, sponsorship on the Haj Pilgrimage, as well as recreational and sport facilities. Personnel At the end of 2007, the Company employed a total of 10,597 em ployees. The Com pany s total num ber of employees has increased compared to 10,083 employees in Out of the 10,597 employees, 9,173 employees (86%) work in the Tire division, 1,126 (11%) work in the Tire cord division and 298 employees (3%) work in the SBR division. 22 PT. 2 Prestasi dan Penghargaan Achievements and Accreditations Pada bulan November 2007, Gajah Tunggal dianugrahi penghargaan yang prestisius atas komitmennya terhadap U nited N ations M illenniu m Develo p ment G oals. Penghargaan ini diberikan oleh Metro TV Indonesia dan direstui oleh Perserikatan Bangsa Bangsa, terutama untuk usaha perusahaan mengurangi kematian pada anak anak dan balita. Pa d a b ulan Sep tem ber PT. Gajah Tunggal Tbk. mendapat penghargaan Asia s Best Managed Company in Indonesia dari Euromoney. Pada bulan Desember 2005 Perusahaan mendaftarkan 2 merek ban radialnya, Savero dan M axmiler, untuk mendapatkan sertifikasi E-Noise agar memenuhi standar kualitas pasar OEM di Eropa. Sertifikat ini dikeluarkan oleh RDW-Netherland pada tanggal 4 Januari Pada bulan Desember 2005 Perusahaan menerima Sertifikat Produk Pengguna Tanda SNI yang dikeluarkan oleh PUSTAN- Departemen Perindustrian untuk produk-produk berikut ini: 1. Ban dalam mobil, SNI No Ban mobil berpenumpang, SNI No Ban truk dan bis, SNI No Ban truk ringan, SNI No Ban sepeda motor, SNI No Pada bulan November 2005 Perusahaan memperpanjang Compliance Statement terhadap Quality System & Control Plan sebagaimana dipersyaratkan dalam Directive 70/156/ EEC untuk produk-produk ban mobil berpenumpang, ban mobil niaga, serta ban sepeda motor yang menggunakan E-mark (E4) untuk pasar Eropa dari RDW-Netherland. Sertifikat bernomor RDW ini berlaku hingga 7 Maret Pada b ulan September laboratoriu m penguji dinyatakan memenuhi standar SNI Dengan akreditasi ini, laboratorium penguji Perusahaan kini memenuhi kualifikasi untuk mengeluarkan sertifikasi SNI untuk produk-produk ban. Sertifikat ini dikeluarkan oleh Komisi Akreditasi Nasional (KAN), dengan nomor akreditasi LP-294-IDN dan berlaku hingga tanggal 28 September Pada bulan Juli 2005 Perusahaan juga dinyatakan lulus Product and Quality System Audit Surveillance dari INMETRO BRAZIL, sebagai bagian persyaratan impor Brazil. Pada bulan Maret 2005 Perusahaan berhasil mendapatkan Sertifikat Sistem Mutu ISO/TS 16949: 2002 serifikat khusus untuk industri otomotif dalam bentuk Sertifikat IATF No dari PT. TUV NORD Indonesia yang berlaku hingga tanggal 1 Juni In November 2007, Gajah Tunggal was given a prestigious recognition for its commitment to the United Nations Millennium Development Goals. The recognition, given by Metro TV Indonesia and endorsed by the United Nations, specifically recognizes the efforts of the Company to combat child mortality. In September 2006, PT Gajah Tunggal Tbk. received Asia s Best M anaged Company in Indonesia from Euromoney Magazine. In December 2005, the Company applied for E-Noise certificate for its 2 radial tire brands (Savero & Maxmiler) to meet the OEM market quality standard in Europe. This certificate w as issued by RDW-Netherland on January 4, In December 2005, the Company received User Product Certificate SNI (Indonesian National Standard) Mark which is issued by PUSTAN - Ministry of Industry for the following products: 1. Inner tube Automobile tires, SNI No Passenger Car tires, SNI No Truck and Bus tires, SNI No Light Truck tires, SNI No Motor Cycle tires, SNI No In November 2005, the Company extended its Compliance Statement to Quality System & Control Plan as required by Directive 7 0/1 5 6/EEC f or p asse n g er tire pro d ucts, commercial tires, and motorcycle tires using E-M ark (E4) for European market from RDW-Netherland. This certificate numbered RDW is effective until March 7, In September 2005, the Company s testing laboratory was certified as fully compliant to SNI (Indonesian National St a n d ard) W it h t his accre dit a tio n certificate, it is now a test laboratory qualified to issue SNI certificates for tire products. 3 Sertifikasi Mutu Internasional Perusahaan selalu berkomitmen untuk meningkatkan kualitas produknya, seperti tercermin pada keberhasilannya meraih sertifikasi mutu internasional ISO 9002 untuk sistem pengendalian mutu produksi ban radial pada tahun Dua tahun kemudian, pada tahun 1997, pabrik ban radial Perusahaan menerima sertifikasi ISO 9001 untuk mutunya dalam desain, pengembangan, dan pemasangan. Pada tahun 2002, Perusahaan menerima sertifikasi bergengsi d alam in d ustri otomotif, yaitu Q S d ari TUV International. Sementara pada tahun 2005, Perusahaan menerima ISO/TS 16949, peningkatan dari QS 9000 yang diterima pada tahun Sertifikasi mutu ISO/TS ini lebih diterima oleh industri otomotif Jepang dan Eropa. Sertifikasi mutu dari berbagai negara juga diterima oleh Perusahaan, meliputi E-Mark dari Masyarakat Ekonomi Eropa, TUV CERT dari Jerman, sertifikasi mutu pengujian dari Departemen Transportasi A merika Serikat, BPS (Filipina), Inmetro (Brazil), PAI (Kuwait), SASO (Arab Saudi) dan BVQI (Kolombia). Komitmen Perusahaan pada kualitas produknya terus meningkat seiring dengan perluasan operasi kami. International Quality Certification The Company is committed to improve its product quality, as reflected in its achievement in passing the international quality certification ISO 9002 for its radial tire production quality control system in Two years later, in 1997, the radial tire plant received ISO 9001 certification for its quality in design, development and installation systems. In 2002, the Company was the recipient of the prestigious certificate in automotive industry, QS 9000 from TUV International. Gajah Tunggal Tbk. berkomitmen kuat untuk menjadikan Perusahaan sebagai produsen ban yang menguntungkan dan menjadi yang terkemuka dengan berkonsentrasi pada misi perusahaan melalui strategi memperkuat brand equity, meningkatkan kapasitas pro d uksi, menerapkan prinsip kehati hatian dalam pengelolaan keuangan, mendiversifikasi ke produk dengan profit yang lebih tinggi, dan memperluas jaringan distribusi penjualan. Sejalan dengan komitmen ini, pada tahun 2005 perusahaan telah memulai ekspansi kapasitas produksi dengan membangun pabrik ban radial dan ban sepeda motor yang baru. In line with this commitment, in 2005 the Company begun to expand its production capacity by commencing the construction of its new radial tire and motorcycle tire factories. Next to this, the Company managed to increase production capacity in 2007 by improving utilization of capacity significantly. Tinjauan Pasar Ban Di tahun 2007, industri otomotif di Indonesia meningkat setelah mengalami penurunan pertumbuhan di tahun tahun sebelumnya, yang disebabkan pencabutan susbsidi bahan bakar. Inflasi di tahun 2007 termasuk cukup stabil dan kondisi makro secara umum di Indonesia telah membantu meningkatkan penjualan sepeda motor dan mobil. Penjualan mobil baru naik ke 434 ribu unit di tahun 2007 dari 319 ribu unit yang terjual di tahun sebelumnya, atau sebesar 36%. Penjualan sepeda motor baru juga naik menjadi 4,7 juta unit di tahun 2007 dari 4,4 juta unit di tahun 2006 atau mewakili kenaikan sebear 6%. Kenaikan penjualan mobil dan sepeda motor baru secara langsung juga meningkatkan penjualan ban ke pasar OEM. Secara keseluruhan, penjualan nasional ban roda-empat di pasar domestik meningkat sebesar 13% dari 9,4 juta ban di tahun 2006 menjadi 10,6 juta ban di tahun Sedangkan, penjualan nasional ban sepeda motor di pasar domestik di tahun 2007 sebesar 23, 8 juta ban telah mengalami kenaikan sebesar 8% dibandingkan tahun Tire Market Overview In 2007, the Indonesian automotive industry picked up from a decline in growth in the previous year, which was caused by the uplifting in fuel subsidies. Inflation in 2007 w as relatively sta ble an d general m acro econo mical conditions in Indonesia lifted the sales of motorcycles and cars. New car sales increased to 434 thousand units in 2007 from 319 thousand units in the previous year, or about 36%. New motorcycle sales also increased to 4.7 million units in 2007 from 4.4 million units in 2006 or representing 6% increase. The increase in new cars and motorcycles sales directly caused the increase in tires sales to the OEM market. In aggregate, the national domestic four-w heel vehicle tire sales increased by 13% from 9.4 million units in 2006 to millio n u nits in W hereas t he d o m estic m o t orcycle tires sales in 2007 of 23.8 millio n u nits represented an 8% increase compared to PT. 8 Ban Kendaraan Bermotor Roda Empat Di tahun , penjualan b an Perusahaan ke p asar domestik (gabungan pasar Replacement dan OEM) naik sebesar 16% menjadi 3,4 juta ban dari 2,9 juta ban di tahun Di pasar Replacement untuk ban bias, Gajah Tunggal masih menjadi pemimpin pasar dengan pangsa pasar sebesar 46%. Di pasar Replacement untuk ban radial (steel) di mana Perusahaan masih merupakan pendatang baru, Gajah Tunggal telah mendapatkan 20% pangsa pasar. Pangsa pasar perusahaan di pasar OEM untuk ban bias adalah 49%, sedangkan pangsa pasar ban radial di pasar OEM ialah 2%. Penjualan Perusahaan ke pasar domestik terdiri dari 2, 4 juta ban bias dan 1 juta ban radial. Berdasarkan pasarnya, Perusahaan menjual 3,1 juta ban ke pasar Replacement dan 0,3 juta ban ke pasar OEM. Four-Wheel Vehicle Tires In 2007, the Company tire s sales to the Domestic market (Replacement and OEM markets combined) increased by 16% to 3.4 million tires from 2.9 million tires in In the replacement market for bias, Gajah Tunggal is still the clear m arket leader w ith 46% of the m arket. In the replacement market for radial (steel only), in w hich the company is a relative newcomer, Gajah Tunggal had a 20% market share. The Company s market share in the OEM market for bias tires was 49%, while its radial tire market share in the OEM market w as 2%. The Company s sales to Domestic market consisted of 2.4 million bias tires and 1 million radial tires, w herefrom the Company sold 3.1 million tires to the Replacement market and 0.3 million tires to the OEM market. Ban Sepeda Motor Ban sepeda motor Perusahaan telah memenuhi standar yang berkualitas tinggi yang disyaratkan oleh produsen pasar sepeda m otor OEM di In d onesia. Di pasar Replacement, Perusahan secara aktif mempromosikan pro d uknya m elalui kegiatan-kegiatan d ala m ran gka meningkatkan preferensi konsumen terhadap merek ban Perusahaan. Di pasar domestik Replacement, Perusahaan merupakan pemimpin pasar dengan pangsa pasar 56%. Pangsa pasar ini terdiri dari 62% pangsa pasar di pasar Replacement dan 50% pangsa pasar di pasar OEM. Motorcycle Tires The Company s motorcycle tires have met the high quality standard used for OEM parts acceptance by all motorcycle assemblers in Indonesia. In the replacement market, the Company actively promotes its products through events that increase the consumers a w areness and preference for the brand. In the Domestic Replacement market, the Company is the market leader with 56% overall market share. This market share consisted of a 62% market share in the Replacement market and a 50% market share in the OEM market. Produksi Ban Sebagai pionir di industri ban nasional, PT. Perusahaan secara berkesinambungan menambah produk baru termasuk kategori ban salju untuk mengakomodasi permintaan pasar ekspor. Produk yang lebih berwawasan lingkungan, seperti Champiro HPX dikembangkan untuk memenuhi permintaan pasar Eropa. Tire Production As the pioneer in the national tire industry, PT. The Company s tire products already meet international quality standards and are well accepted by Domestic and Exp ort m arkets. The latest international certificate received by the Company, for ISO/TS 16949, in 2005, was well accepted by the Japanese and European automotive industries. The Company also continuously added new pro d ucts inclu din g Win ter Tire ca teg ories t o fulfill international m arket dem ands. 9 Kapasitas Produksi Baru Perusahaan secara berkesinambungan meningkatkan kapasitas produksi ban sepeda motor untuk memenuhi permintaan yang tinggi dari pasar domestik. Kapasitas produksi terpasang Perusahaan untuk ban sepeda motor telah mencapai 16 juta ban per tahun pada akhir tahun 2007 dari 15,7 juta ban per tahun di akhir tahun Di akhir tahun 2007, Perusahaan memiliki total kapasitas produksi terpasang sebesar 30,7 juta ban per tahun, yang terdiri dari 10,5 juta ban radial per tahun (34%), 4,2 juta ban bias per tahun (14%), dan 16,0 juta ban sepeda motor per tahun (52%). Kapasitas produksi terpasang Perusahaan akan terus menin gkat secara bertahap dengan dimulainya pembangunan pabrik baru untuk ban sepeda motor dan ban radial yang akan selesai secara bertahap pada tahun Installed Production Capacity PT. Futhermore, the Company continued its endeavor to replace the use of the more expensive fuel with the cheaper and more environment friendly natural gas. 11 Ban Radial Ban radial produksi Perusahaan biasanya digunakan untuk mobil berpenumpang dan truk ringan. Salah satu produk terakhir Perusahaan yang diluncurkan, Champiro HPX adalah ban kategori ultra-high-performance yang dikembangkan dari hasil penelitian dan pengembangan Perusahaan dalam usaha menciptakan produk yang ramah lingkungan dan memenuhi standar pasar Eropa yang tinggi. Di pasar replacement dalam negeri, Perusahaan secara aktif mempromosikan dan meningkatkan pengenalan akan merek produk perusahaan. Salah satu kegiatan promosi yang diselenggarakan oleh Perusahaan adalah GT Radial Treasure Hunt berupa rally-tour yang diikuti sekitar 200 mobil. Selain itu, Perusahaan juga menjalin kerjasama dengan Michelin untuk membuka 30 gerai ritel di Indonesia dengan nama Tire Zone yang menjual ban GT Radial BF Goodrich dan Michelin. In the domestic replacement market, the Company actively promotes and builds the brand awareness of its tire. One of the promotion activities conducted by the Company is GT Radial Treasure Hunt in which around 200 cars took part in a rally-tour. In addition, the Company also has cosponsored with Michelin 30 retail stores in Indonesia using the Tire Zone name to promote and sell GT Radial, BF Goodrich and Michelin tires.
