LEARNING CONSTRUCTION Course name : Bahasa Inggris 3 Credit : 2 SKS Program : Undergraduate Faculty : Nursing Description This unit will focus on how to understand in reading and writing proficiencies. It also learns the strategy to create an essay in accordance to academic style by learning how to create a paragraph and what aspects should pay attention for it. Competencies On the completion of this unit, the students will have the understanding of academic English for nursing that includes reading and writing proficiency. It is hoped that the students will have ability to read and create scientific articles in accordance with academic style. It is also that the students will be able to apply the competencies to communicate effectively during care delivery and develop professional ability.

THE FORM OF ASSIGNMENT Course name : Bahasa Inggris 3 SKS : 2 SKS Program Studi : Nursing Meeting : 9-16 A. The aim of assignment Creating an academic essay B. The step of assignment 1. The object of assignment Academic writing in English 2. What you have to be done Constructing an academic essay, the students can choose among types of essay such as cause/ effect or comparison/ contrast or argumentative essay (250-300 words). 3. Method/ how to make it a. Each student choose the selected form of essay either procedure/process, cause /effect, comparison/contrast or an argumentative essay. b. Then, you should create the essay for 250-300 words. c. Collect the essay at the end of study prior to the final exam to coordinator unit. 4. The product of assignment An academic essay will be assessed for 30% of the final mark of unit.
