1 PENGARUH TINGKAT EKONOMI TERHADAP PARTISIPASI PEMILIH WARGA DESA BANDAR SETIA KECAMATAN PERCUT SEI TUAN ABSTRAK Pemilihan umum kepala daerah yang dilaksanakan di Provinsi Sumatera Utara khususnya Kabupaten Deli Serdang, di pengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor yang dapat membuat partai atau koalisi partai memenangi pemilihan kepala daerah. Pertama, faktor partai dan koalisi partai yang mengusung calon kepala daerah, dengan melihat bahwa komposisi atau koalisi partai pengusung calon memang merupakan partaipartai yang pada pemilu sebelumnya menunjukkan keunggulannya dalam perolehan suara. Partai-partai tersebut biasanya juga merupakan partai besar yang sudah dikenal masyarakat. Kedua,faktor figur calon kepala daerah yang diusung partai,calon kepala daerah yang sudah lebih dulu dikenal oleh masyarakat mampu mendongkrak kemenangan partai dan pasangan calon dalam pilkada.ketiga,bergeraknya mesin partai politik, yang mempunyai struktur dari tingkat Kabupaten sampai tingkat Desa yang dapat bergerak untuk memenangkan calonnya dalam pilkada juga turut menjadi faktor penentu kemenangan. Metode penelitian ini mengunakan format eksplanasi yaitu penelitian yang ingin melihat hubungan atau korelasi diantara dua variabel yaitu variabel bebas dan variabel terikat sebagai variabel bebas adalah tingkat ekonomi dan variabel terikat adalah partisiasi politik. Dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 100 orang dan mengunakan teknik pengambilan sampel simple random sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuisioner, wawancara dan observasi. Teknik analisa data mengunakan uji statistik statistik somer s d mengunakan Product Moment untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya hubungan antara tingkat ekonomi terhadap partisipasi politik dan besar tingkat signifikasinya data diolah dengan mengunakan SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan andanya pengaruh antara tingkat ekonomi terhadap partisipasi politik warga Desa Bandar Setia Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan pada pemilihan Bupati Deli Serdang tahun Bedasarkan uji koefisiensi korelasi menunjukkan bahwa tingkat keeratan pengaruh tingkat ekonomi terhadap partisipasi politik dalam penelitian ini berada pada interpretasi rendah yaitu Uji determinasi menunjukkan 7% tingkat ekonomi mempengaruhi partisipasi pemilih, sedangkan 93% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Hasil observasi dan wawancara yang peneliti lakukan didapatkan data bahwa partisipasi pemilih responden belum mencapai taraf yang di inginkan. Saran yang disampaikan bagi pemerintahan warga Bandar Setia Kabupaten Deli Serdang ke depannya dengan kandidat yang terpilih diharapkan dapat memberikan solusi terhadap permasalahan-permasalahan yang terjadi sehingga nantinya akan terjadi partisipasi politik dalam pemilihan lansung yang rasional, sehingga untuk ke depannya kandidat yang sudah terpilih benar-benar mendengarkan aspirasi rakyat sebagai warga Negara Indonesia yang baik dan pembangunan bangsa Indonesia ke depannya bisa berjalan dengan baik.
