1 BAB V KESIMPULAN DAN SARAN 5.1 Kesimpulan 1. Waktu konsentrasi yang dibutuhkan air dari titik terjauh (hulu) sampai ke titik tinjauan (hilir) pada Jalan Prof. Dr. Supomo yaitu menit. 2. Berdasarkan perhitungan debit rencana, kapasitas saluran riil sebesar m 3 /s tidak dapat menampung debit hujan rencana periode ulang 2, 5, dan 10 tahun berturut-turut sebesar m 3 /s, m 3 /s, dan m 3 /s, sedangkan kapasitas saluran asli sebesar m 3 /s masih dapat menampung debit hujan rencana dengan periode ulang yang sama berturut-turut. 3. Saluran pada daerah studi bercabang menjadi dua dengan konstribusi masing-masing kapasitas saluran adalah saluran arah barat sebesar m 3 /s dan saluran arah timur sebesar m 3 /s, sehingga kapasitas total sebesar m 3 /s. 4. Berdasarkan perbandingan kapasitas saluran dengan debit hujan kejadian nyata tanggal 8 April 2012, terjadi kelebihan debit yang tidak dapat ditampung oleh saluran Jalan Prof. Dr. Supomo sebesar m 3 /s. 5. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa ketidakmampuan saluran dalam menampung debit disebabkan oleh hujan lokal sesaat dengan durasi hujan yang singkat, sehingga intensitas hujan terlalu besar. Terlihat dari
2 perhitungan intensitas hujan pada peride ulang 2, 5, dan 10 tahun berturutturut adalah mm/jam, mm/jam, dan mm/jam, sedangkan intensitas hujan kejadian nyata (Tanggal 8 April 2012) sebesar 132 mm/jam. 6. Berdasarkan perbandingan kapasitas saluran riil dan saluran asli, saluran pada daerah studi tidak dapat menampung debit hujan yang terjadi karena disebabkan oleh: a. sedimentasi dan penumpukan sampah pada saluran yang menyebabkan berkurangnya kapasitas saluran, b. penggunaan fungsi saluran drainase untuk mengalirkan air hujan bercampur dengan air limbah rumah tangga, c. terjadi backwater di muara saluran sehingga air tidak dapat mengalir dengan lancar. 5.2 Saran 1. Diperlukan perawatan pada saluran terutama saluran Jalan Prof. Dr. Supomo dengan melakukan pengerukan sedimen sebelum musim penghujan untuk menghindari meluapnya air. 2. Memastikan adanya dokumen saluran hasil perancangan untuk membandingkan dengan hasil di lapangan sebagai salah satu parameter yang digunakan dalam menganalisis. 3. Untuk penelitian selanjutnya akan lebih baik memperhitungkan air limbah yang masuk ke dalam sistem drainase.
3 4. Perlu dilakukan studi yang meninjau kembali hubungan antara rumus pendekatan persamaan intensitas menurut Mononobe dengan persamaan umum intensitas hujan sesaat. Dalam perhitungan intensitas curah hujan 24jam dengan intensitas jam-jaman dari ARR menunjukkan hasil yang terpaut cukup jauh sehingga studi tersebut akan bermanfaat dalam perencanaan debit rencana ke depan untuk mendapatkan hasil yang lebih akurat.
