Top Brand Award 2008 Tanggal 7 Agustus 2008 SG memperoleh penghargaan bergengsi Top Brand Award 2008 dari Majalah Marketing yang bekerja sama dengan Frontier Consulting Group.

Museum Rekor Indonesia Kado spesial di HUT SG ke-51 diberikan oleh Museum Rekor Dunia Indonesia (MURI) karena dinilai sebagai Pelopor Pelatihan dan Sertifikasi Tukang Batu Umum. Penyerahan penghargaan oleh MURI diwakili oleh Paulus Pangka kepada Dwi Soetjipto selaku Direktur Utama Semen Gresik pada 18 Agustus 2008

Indonesia s Best Wealth Creators Pada 11 September 2008 SMGR yang masuk kategori Industri Dasar dan Kimia menduduki peringkat teratas Perusahaan Pencipta Kekayaan bagi investor. Yang diselenggarakan oleh lembaga pemeringkat international Stern Stewart & Co.

Konvensi Mutu Indonesia (IQC) 4 kelompok mutu yang mewakili perusahaan di ajang IQC2008 di Medan 11-14 Nopember 2008, SG kembali berhasil memboyong penghargaan 2 emas dan 2 perak.
