Keywords: Error Analysis, News, errors of omission, errors of addition, error of misordering, errors of misinformation, intralingual transfer, interlingual transfer Now days Internet has grown up fast. It makes the people who connect to the world have to open the internet every day. One of the Internet systems is a website. A website (also written Web site or simply site) is a collection of related web pages containing images, videos or other digital assets. A website is hosted on at least one web server, accessible via a network such as the Internet or a private local area network through an Internet address also called URL. The objects of research are to know the kinds of errors and what are the factors of the error in English Version of UMK Website in June 2011. This research is qualitative research. The data and the data source of this research are in UMK website in June 2011. The writer takes 8 news from the whole of June 2011. The writer uses Corder theory which is collecting of a sample of leaning language, Identification of errors, Describing of errors, Explaining of errors and Error evaluation. The writer found 68 errors because of omission, addition, misinformation and misordering which 2 omissions, 2 additions, 63 misinformations and 1 misordering and the factors of error are interlingual transfer and intralingual transfer. Thus, the writer suggests for the translator, she must pay attention to translate and use reported speech in the news because the main point of the news is reported speech. For the editor, they must be carefully and be good editor. These errors are actually not the translator error only, but also the editors so that, the editor must pay attention. For the publisher, they should be care about the English version because this edition will be read by all people around the world. ix

Keywords: Analisis kesalahan, berita, errors of omission, errors of addition, error of misordering, errors of misinformation, intralingual transfer, interlingual transfer Dewasa ini internet telah berkembang begitu cepat. Itu membuat masyarakat yang bekerja dengan internet harus membuka internet setiap hari. Salah satu dari system internet adalah website. Sebuah website (dapat di tulis Web site atau Simply site) merupakan gabungan dari web pages yang berrisi gambar, video dan data digital lainnya. Sebuah website memiliki hosting minimal satu web server yang bisa diakses melalui jaringan seperti Internet atau local area network yang memiliki alamat atau biasa disebut URL. Objek dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis kesalahan dan factor apa yang menyebabkannya di dalam versi Inggris di website UMK pada Juni 2011. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian qualitatif. Data dan sumber data di ambil dari website UMK. Penulis menemukan 8 berita pada bulan Juni 2011. Penulis menggunakan teori Corder seperti Collecting of a sample of leaning language, Identification of errors, Describing of errors, Explaining of errors and Error evaluation. Penulis menemukan 68 kesalahan karena omission, addition, misinformation and misordering yang terdiri dari 2 omissions, 2 additions, 63 misinformations and 1 misordering Demikian analisis penulis, selanjutnya penulis memberikan saran kepada penerjemah untuk memperhatikan lagi terjemahannya dan menggunakan reported speech dalam berita karena inti dari berita adalah reported speech. Untuk editor, juga harus berhati-hati dalam mengedit dan menjadi editor yang bagus. Kesalahan ini tidak hanya disebabkan oleh penerjemah tetapi juga oleh editor. Untuk pengelola, mereka hariu hati-hati dalam mempublikasikan di versi Bahasa Inggris, karena edisi ini yang akan di baca oleh masyarakat dunia. x
