Keyword : business intelligence, service level, perusahaan retailer, profit penjualan 1.
3. Identifikasi dan membuat dimensi yang sesuai (Identifying and conforming the dimensions) Mengidentifikasi dimensi data apa saja yang diperlukan pada tabel fakta dan dari data tersebut dibuat tabel dimensi. 4. 5. Menyimpan pre-kalkulasi dalam tabel fakta (Storing pre-calculation in the fact table) Setelah menentukan fakta, maka setiap fakta perlu diuji apakah terdapat prekalkulasi yang perlu disimpan. 6. 7. Memilih durasi dari database (Choosing the duration of the database) Menentukan durasi data yang akan dimasukkan ke dalam data warehouse berdasarkan kebutuhan perusahaan. 8.
9. Memutuskan prioritas dan cara query (Deciding the query priorities and the query modes) Pada tahap ini persoalan yang harus dipertimbangkan adalah membuat rancangan fisikal yang bertujuan untuk senantiasa menjaga dan meningkatkan performa dari data warehouse. 2.2. Implementasi 1.

BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE FOR SUPPLIER S SERVICE LEVEL (STUDY CASE IN A RETAIL COMPANY) Alfonsus Adrian Binus University, Jakarta, DKI Jakarta, Indonesia Dennis Reynaldo Widyanto Binus University, Jakarta, DKI Jakarta, Indonesia dan Julia Budi Susilawaty Binus University, Jakarta, DKI Jakarta, Indonesia Abstract The research objective of this thesis is to analyze the service level associated with the supplier's system, looking for the right solutions to solve problems that occur, as well as designing business intelligence to overcome the problems of the company. The research method used in this paper include methods of data collection by conducting interviews and library research, analysis of business processes that are running, and the design method that well known as nine-step methodology by Ralph Kimball. The result of this thesis research is to enterprise data warehouse, business intelligence, reporting - and dashboard reports relating to service level. Conclusion is obtained in the presence of business intelligence, then the desired information can be available in
a quick period of time, display the resulting report can be easily understood and analyzed as well as facilitate the manager in making decisions. Keyword : business intelligence, service level, retailer company, sales profit 1. Introduction Nowadays the use of information technology can not be separated from our lives, especially in a company. Information technology has been integrated with the work process has become an absolute necessity in the enterprise. Why? Because in a company there are needs to analyze the problems that must be faced and the decision making. Availability of the right, accurate and complete information is a basic requirement for survival. The effort to maximize the performance of companies is a priority at this time. Companies that are able to identify, describe, and implement the strategy will be able to grow and compete better. In this case we take the case of a retail company. This retail company is selling goods of daily needs in large amounts and various kinds. Therefore, company needs a lot of suppliers. Suppliers have a very important role in this company. Suppliers will send the goods purchased by a company where the goods are items to be purchased by consumers. Thus, suppliers involved in maintaining the company's business to run effectively. To assess the performance of suppliers, the company is using a system, where the system is called the Service Level for the supplier. The system of supplier's service level is important for the supplying productivity of companies, because the company relies on the availability of goods to maintain smooth business processes. This is because if the stock of goods is unavailable and the supplier does not deliver goods on time, then the company can suffer losses. Improper shipment lead time quantity is below the minimum threshold that is hindering the smooth business, similarly the
quantity of goods shipped by the supplier. If the quantity of goods delivered do not match those ordered by the company, it will affect the sales profit. 2. Methodology In completing the application which is part of this thesis, the methodology and steps taken as follow: - Design - Implementation - Evaluation 2.1. Design In completing the application which is part of this thesis, the design used nine-step methodology: 1. Choosing the process Choose business process that refers to the subject problems or business requirements and analyze data that available on the company. 2. Choosing the grain Choose exactly what is represented by a record of the fact table. 3. Identifying and conforming the dimensions Identify the dimensions of what data is needed on the fact table and a table of data is made dimension. 4. Choosing the facts Choose a fact that will be used in the fact table based on business processes and grain that has been determined. 5. Storing pre-calculation in the fact table
After determining the facts, any facts need to be tested whether there are calculations that need to be pre-stored. 6. Rounding out the dimension tables At this stage, we return to the dimension table and add as much description. Description should be clear and easy to understand so it is quite clear. 7. Choosing the duration of the database Determine the duration of the data to be entered into the data warehouse based on the needs of the company. 8. Tracking slowly changing dimension Tracking the changing of dimensional slowly where there are three basic types of slowly changing dimensions. 9. Deciding the query priorities and the query modes At this stage issues should be considered is to make physical design that aims to continuously maintain and improve the performance of data warehouse. 2.2. Implementation 1. Software s Installation At this stage the installation of software on the client s computers made during a week. 2. Deployment Production Deployment of production carried out for one week after the software installation performed. At this stage of the ETL deploy, making schedule ETL, DWH structure to deploy and to deploy cube.
3. User Training At this stage of user training who are authorized to use the application. The training is done to allow users to adapt and recognize the application. 4. Evaluation In the final stage of data warehouse s implementation plan will be an evaluation that aims to measure the level of success that the system has been implemented. In addition, the weaknesses of the implementation can be found. 2.3. Evaluation After completing the implementation of business intelligence systems on the PT. XYZ, thus an evaluation of the management of data warehouse systems are designed. The eveluation was conducted by the project manager during the two weeks since the system has already been drafted. The aspect of evaluation are the accuracy of data, compliance with program requirements required by the user, and system usage. The results of evaluation are: 1. The need for additional information from users who are not recorded at the time of the identification requirements of the order list daily reports required by the finance department. The addition of user requirements has been added and there are pages ini appendix (L81). 2. header for the next report will be equipped with a header PT. XYZ is true. Here are the advantages and disadvantages derived from the evaluation: The advantages of the system that has been designed: 1. Simplify and save time in making the report.
2. Displays information in the graph, making it easy to understand. 3. Report can be viewed as necessary for the company's decision-making. Disadvantages of the system that has been designed: 1. the process of opening reports fast enough. After seeing the short comings that have been mentioned from the evaluation, the follow-up is done in addressing these weaknesses is to change IsAggregate be true for every dimension attribute in the attribute properties. Then on the cube in analysis services, we change the aggregation usage of default becomes full, and adjust the design until a 80% aggregation. Once this is done, the process of opening reports to be fast.. 3. Conclusion Of a whole series of writing, the conclusion can be outlined as follows: 1. Business intelligence applications have been able to display the information in accordance with the requirements of the company to support decision making. 2. Business intelligence applications can provide the desired information in a faster time period than the provision of a previous report. 3. By changing IsAggregate be true for each attribute dimension, then change the default aggregation usage from a full, and set design aggregation untul to 80% on the cube analysis service, the process of opening reports more quickly.
