1 The Effect of Big Five Personality on Job Satisfaction of PT Adetex s Operations Employee Febryna Monita Inkiriwang Jurusan Manajeman Fakultas Ekonomi febrynamonita@yahoo.com ABSTRACT The purpose of the study is to test whether big five personality affects job satisfaction. Two hundred and fourty six of 252 data were used. The subjects of this study are PT Adetex s operations employee. The outliers, validity, reliability, statistics descriptive and correlation, were conducted before hypotheses testing. Five hypotheses are tested by simple and multiple regression linier analysis were used to examine hypotheses. The results of this study by simple regression linier shows that four hypotheses were supported affect job satisfaction of PT Adetex operations employee. In other hand, the results by multiple regression linier shows that big five personality agreeableness, neuroticism/emotional stabiliy and openess to experience were supported. The implications of these findings are discussed for future research. Keywords: big five personality, job satisfaction. ix
2 Pengaruh Big Five Personality Terhadap Kepuasan Kerja Karyawan Operasional PT Adetex Febryna Monita Inkiriwang Jurusan Manajeman Fakultas Ekonomi ABSTRAK Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk menguji apakah big five personality memengaruhi kepuasan kerja. Dua ratus empat puluh enam dari 252 data yang telah digunakan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah karyawan operasional PT Adetex. Outliers, validitas, reliabilitas, deskriptif statistik dan korelasi, telah dilakukan sebelum menguji hipotesis. Lima hipotesis diuji oleh analisis regresi linier sederhana dan majemuk. Hasil dari analisis regresi linier sederhana menunjukkan bahwa empat hipotesis telah didukung memengaruhi kepuasan kerja karyawan operasional PT Adetex. Di sisi lain, hasil dari analisis regresi linier majemuk menunjukkan bahwa big five personality agreeableness, neuroticism/emotional stabiliy dan openess to experience telah didukung. Implikasi dari temuan ini akan dibahas untuk penelitian yang akan datang. Kata kunci: big five personality, kepuasan kerja. x
