1 ABSTRACT A lot of life insurance companies make them compete to gain profit. PT Prudential Life Assurance obtain the highest profit in To achieve a lot of profit, PT Prudential Life Assurance allocate some fund for their marketing cost in case to attract customer to buy their products. Companies profit also related with premi income. Then company will divide a sum of money from the premi income to invest. The result of invest may affect profit. Based on the result of studies using regression analysis, simultaneous marketing cost, premi income, investment and significant effect on profit is While partially, marketing cost are not a significant negative effect on the profit is , premi income significant positive effect on profit is 0.741, investing significant positive effect on profit is Keyword: marketing cost, premi income, investments, and profit
2 ABSTRAK Jumlah perusahaan asuransi jiwa yang cukup banyak, membuat perusahaan bersaing untuk memperoleh laba. PT Prudential Life Assurance merupakan perusahaan asuransi jiwa yang memperoleh laba tertinggi pada tahun Untuk mencapai laba sebanyak-banyaknya, perusahaan mengalokasikan biaya pemasaran untuk menarik minat beli nasabah. Laba perusahaan juga berkaitan dengan pendapatan premi yang diperolehnya. Kemudian perusahaan akan membagi sejumlah dana dari pendapatan premi tersebut untuk berinvestasi. Hasil dari investasi dapat mempengaruhi laba yang diperoleh. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menggunakan metode analisis regresi berganda, secara simultan biaya pemasaran, pendapatan premi, dan investasi berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap laba sebesar 0,971. Sedangkan secara parsial, biaya pemasaran berpengaruh negative tidak signifikan terhadap laba sebesar -0,292, pendapatan premi berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap laba sebesar 0,741, investasi berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap laba sebesar 1,944.
