Although civilian pilots are flying aircraft in a relatively quiet filghtdecks, there is still enough background noise to cause hearing loss for a certain period. Noise-induced hearing loss can not be cured but prevented only by control efforts. This cross-sectional study was aimed to analyze association between the individual characteristics include flying hours, age, noise-related habits, using earphone and headset with pilots threshold shift in Balai Kesehatan Penerbangan Jakarta with quantitative methods. This study sample represents a total of sub-populations with the majority of respondents had more than 1500 flying hours, under 40 years old, did not do the noise-related habits, using the earphone and put the headset on as long as they re inflight. There were association between flying hours and age with pilot threshold shift. These are the significant value p= 0,008 (the right ear) and p=0,033 (the left ear) by flying hours and p=0,000 (the right ear) and p = 0,003 (the left ear) by age. Pilots are suggested to obey the rules of maximum flying hours and use the hearing protection devices. Balai Kesehatan Penerbangan Jakarta is recommended to increase the operator competency by training and audiometric certified.
