1. ASI eksklusif berarti pemberian hanya Air Susu Ibu (ASI) kepada bayi tanpa tambahan apapun. 2. Pemberian ASI eksklusif minimal selama 6 bulan. 3. ASI pertama kali sebaiknya diberikan secepat pada hari pertama setelah melahirkan. 4. ASI yang pertama kali keluar (Kolustrum) yang berwarna kekuning-kuningan mengandung zat antibodi yang melindungi tubuh bayi dari infeksi. 5. Asupan gizi ibu yang cukup dapat meningkatkan kualitas ASI yang diberikan kepada bayi 0-6 bulan. 6. Kandungan zat gizi dalam ASI tidak mencukupi kebutuhan bayi umur 0-6 bulan 7. Dalam ASI terdapat zat antibody yang dapat melindungi bayi dari segi kesehatan dan dari penyakit pernapasan. 8. Pemberian makanan / minuman tambahan pada bayi usia kurang 6 bulan dapat menyebabkan gangguan pencernaan. 9. Lebih sering menyusui, maka lebih banyak ASI yang diproduksi. 10. Pemberian ASI eksklusif berguna untuk
