6 Question 4 (6 marks) Read the text, then answer the questions that follow. Cerita Pak Budi Di sebuah desa kecil tinggallah seorang laki-laki, Pak Budi namanya. Dia tinggal di sana dengan isterinya. Kehidupan mereka sederhana saja. Setiap hari Pak Budi ke sungai untuk memancing ikan. Biasanya dia mampu menangkap dua ikan. Yang satu bisa dijualnya di pasar dan yang lainnya bisa dibawa pulang untuk dimakan. Walaupun mereka hidup tenang, ada satu hal yang selalu mengganggu pikiran Pak Budi. Bagaimana isterinya akan hidup sesudah Pak Budi meninggal dunia? Isterinya sudah terlalu tua untuk bekerja. Pada suatu hari, ketika Pak Budi pulang dari sungai, dia bertemu dengan seorang laki-laki yang sangat tua. Orang tua itu minta uang kepadanya. Hari itu Pak Budi hanya menangkap satu ikan. Saya tidak punya uang, katanya, tetapi kalau Bapak mau ikut saya pulang, isteri saya akan memasak ikan ini dengan sedikit nasi. Orang tua itu ikut ke rumah Pak Budi. Dia makan minum dengan Pak Budi dan isterinya. Tidak lama kemudian dia berangkat. Sambil mengucapkan terima kasih kepada mereka dia berkata kepada Pak Budi: Jangan takut. Mulai hari ini Bapak akan selalu beruntung! Pak Budi tidak mengerti maksud kata-kata itu. Besoknya Pak Budi ke sungai seperti biasa. Hari itu ia menangkap sepuluh ikan. Hari berikutnya hal yang sama terjadi! Dan hari sesudahnya begitu juga! Bukan main senangnya. Ia ingat pada kata-kata orang yang tua itu. Sekarang ia mengerti. Pak Budi bisa menjual lebih banyak ikan di pasar. Setiap hari ia dapat menyimpan sedikit uang! Dia memberikan uang itu kepada isterinya! Sekarang ia tidak takut lagi akan masa depan! Bulan depan mereka akan mengadakan reuni besar di sebuah hotel mewah di kota. Pasti akan asyik karena sudah hampir sepuluh tahun sejak kami tamat sekolah. Kami diminta membawa pacar atau suami/isteri. Ini persoalannya. Saya belum bersuami. Sebenarnya saya belum pernah punya pacar walaupun saya sudah berumur dua puluh tujuh tahun. Marni belum bersuami? Tidak apa-apa. Marni belum punya pacar? Juga tidak apa-apa. Mungkin Marni sudah ke luar negeri, punya karir yang baik atau punya hobi? Pasti ada banyak yang dapat dibicarakan. Banyak pegawai kantor yang datang untuk makan siang. Dan tempat ini mudah dikunjungi dengan kendaraan umum. Sebelum membuka restoran ini, apa profesi Ibu? Sebelum ini saya bekerja di bidang katering, yaitu mengantar makanan ke rumah-rumah dan kantor-kantor setiap hari. Menurut Ibu, mana yang lebih baik? Dengan jam masak dan jenis-jenis masakan yang sudah tertentu setiap hari, ada orang yang berpendapat bahwa bisnis katering memang lebih mudah. Tetapi kalau pengirim makanan tidak masuk bekerja, pekerjaan kami lebih berat karena kami sendiri harus mengantar makanan ke rumah-rumah. Kadang-kadang makanannya tiba terlambat karena lalu lintas yang ramai. Susah! Dalam bisnis restoran, jam kerja kami lebih panjang. Kami tutup jam 11 malam dan akhir minggu lebih sibuk daripada hari-hari biasa. Tetapi bagi saya, bekerja keras bukan soal.
