(Lintang mengajar teman-temannya di kamar kelas.) Lintang: Sukarno ditahan di penjara Sukamiskin pada tanggal 29 Desember 1929 karena mendirikan Partai Nasional Indonesia dengan tujuan Indonesia merdeka. Ruangannya sempit, dikelilingi tembok-tembok tebal yang suram, tinggi, gelap dan berjeruji. Lebih buruk daripada kelas kita yang sering bocor. Tapi di situlah beliau menjalani hukuman dan setiap hari belajar, setiap waktu membaca buku. Beliau adalah salah satu orang tercerdas yang pernah dimiliki oleh bangsa ini. (Muslimah sampai, memandang kamar kelas dari luar.) Sebenarnya untuk mengingat nama tempat, dan juga tanggal itu mudah sekali. Kita cukup mencari hal-hal yang penting di belakang sebuah peristiwa.
