4 PETUNJUK KEAMANAN Baca petunjuk ini dengan seksama sebelum menggunakan mesin kopi baru Anda untuk pertama kalinya. Letakkan di tempat di mana Anda dapat menemukan dan membacanya di kemudian hari. Dalam kasus darurat segera cabut steker dari stop kontak. Anak-anak dilarang menggunakan alat tanpa pengawasan orang dewasa. Jangan gunakan di sekitar api terbuka. Tempatkan mesin pada permukaan datar, stabil, tidak panas dan jauh dari air. 6 PETUNJUK PENGGUNAAN! Read these instructions carefully, because they contain important information about safety of instalation, use and maintenance. Keep this booklet carefully for consulting when you need it. Sebelum menggunakan, pastikan bagian mekanik dan kondisi mesin dalam keadaan baik. body, tutup tangki, tangki air dan tuas pengunci tidak boleh pecah atau retak. kabel dan steker dari kabel daya tidak boleh retak atau rusak. Jangan memindahkan mesin ketika sedang beroperasi. Jangan gunakan atau menempatkan mesin di luar ruangan atau di dekat air. Selalu cabut mesin setiap kali selesai menggunakannya. JANGAN MENINGGALKAN MESIN DI RUANGAN DENGAN SUHU 0 C ATAU DI BAWAH TITIK BEKU. JIKA ANDA BERENCANA UNTUK TIDAK MEMAKAI MESIN UNTUK WAKTU YANG CUKUP LAMA, JANGAN MENINGGALKAN AIR DI DALAM TANGKI. 11 KESELAMATAN PENGGUNA DALAM PEMBONGKARAN DAN PENEMPATAN MESIN Lepaskan mesin dari kemasan dan periksa bahwa semua bagian lengkap dan tidak rusak. Tempatkan mesin pada bidang datar, rata, stabil, permukaan tahan panas, cukup kuat untuk menanggung berat mesin. Jangan pasang atau gunakan mesin didekat tirai atau bahan lain yang mudah terbakar dan jangan meletakkan apapun diatas mesin selama penggunaan. Jangan menempatkan mesin di atas, atau dekat dengan oven tambahan atau peralatan lain yang menghasilkan panas (misalnya, radiator dll). Pastikan ada cukup ruang di sekitar mesin untuk sirkulasi udara yang baik.! CARA PENGGUNAAN MESIN Mesin ini dirancang untuk membuat kopi espresso (menggunakan sistem PODs) dan semata-mata untuk penggunaan rumah tangga. Mesin ini tidak boleh digunakan untuk tujuan lain dan tidak boleh diubah atau dirusak dengan alasan apapun. Pengunakan untuk tujuan lain dianggap tidak benar dan karena itu berbahaya. 12 Bahaya luka bakar! Jangan menyentuh bagian yang panas (nozzle kopi) setelah menggunakan mesin. Saat membuat kopi, waspadalah terhadap cipratan kopi panas yang mungkin terjadi. Jangan membuka tuas pengunci saat sedang membuat kopi. MEMPERSIAPKAN MESIN Mengisi air Lepaskan penutup tangki air (8) (Gambar 1) dan tuangkan air hangat ke dalam tangki (1000 ml maksimum), kemudian tutup penutup tangki air. Hubungkan mesin ke listrik dengan memasukan steker (10) (Gambar 1) kedalam soket. Menjalankan mesin untuk pertama kalinya Pertama kali Anda menggunakan mesin, atau jika tidak digunakan untuk waktu yang lama, berikut harus dilakukan: Lepaskan tangki air (9) (Gambar 4) dari mesin, isi dengan air hangat (1000 ml maksimum) dan dimasukkan kembali ke dalam mesin dan pastikan terpasang dengan benar (Gambar 5). Pastikan pegangan (1) (Gambar 3) terkunci, dan kemudian tempatkan cangkir di atas permukaan Drip tray (6) (Gambar 1). Tekan tombol daya (11) (Gambar 3) untuk menyalakan mesin, maka lampu daya berkedip hijau dan tunggu sampai lampu tidak berkedip lagi (pemanas telah mencapai suhu untuk membuat kopi). Sentuh Espresso Cup Key (atau Lungo Cup Key) (3 atau 4) (Gambar 3) satu kali, maka air mulai keluar dari nozzle, ketika kopi selesai diekstrak, mesin akan berhenti secara otomatis. Operasi ini diperlukan untuk memastikan tangki dalam keadaan terisi. 12 POD BREWER CUBE

13 PEMBUATAN KOPI Tekan tombol daya (11) (Gambar 3) untuk menyalakan mesin, lalu lampu listrik hijau nyala dan tunggu air untuk mencapai suhu maka cahaya lampu kopi tidak akan berkedip lagi (hijau). Buka tuas pengunci (1) (Gambar 6). Ambil POD (Gambar 6) dan masukkan ke slot PODs (2) (Gambar 6) Tutup tuas pengunci (1) (Gambar 3) Ambil sebuah cangkir dan letakkan pada permukaan saluran tray (6) (Gambar 3) dan tekan tombol Espresso Cup Key (atau Lungo Cup Key) (3 atau 4) (Gambar 1), mesin akan mulai menyeduh dan ketika kopi selesai diekstrak, mesin akan berhenti secara otomatis. (Volume cangkir espresso 30cc, Volume kopi lungo adalah 90cc.) Setelah selesai pembuatan kopi, buka tuas pengunci (1) (Gambar 7). Kapsul yang digunakan akan secara otomatis jatuh ke penampungan PODs bekas (5) (Gambar 7). Setelah membuat gelas kopi, kotak penampungan akan penuh, keluarkan kotak penampungan (5,6,7) (Gambar 7) dan bersihkan. PENGATURAN KOPI Masukan kopi POD ke dalam mesin dan tutup tuas pengunci lalu tunggu sampai lampu tombol cup key dari berubah dari hijau berkedip menjadi tidak berkedip lagi (suhu tercapai untuk menyeduh kopi). CARA MASUK MODE PENGATURAN (VOLUME CANGKIR ESPRESSO 30CC, VOLUME CANGKIR LUNGO ADALAH 90CC ) Tekan dan tahan Espresso Cup Key atau Lungo Cup Key selama tiga detik hingga lampu cup key yang ingin disetting berkedip. Mesin sudah masuk dalam mode pengaturan. POD BREWER CUBE 13

14 CARA MEMBUAT KOPI UNTUK 30CC Masuk mode pengaturan dengan menekan dan tahan Espresso Cup Key selama tiga detik hingga lampu hijau berkedi-kedip, kemudian lepas jari Anda. mesin akan membuat kopi dan ketika volume kopi sudah mencapai batas 30cc, hentikan penyeduhan kopi dengan menekan tombol Espresso Cup Key dan mesin akan menyimpan volume dalam memori. Volume cangkir kopi berikutnya akan 30cc dan berhenti sendiri. CARA MEMBUAT KOPI DARI 90cc Masuk mode pengaturan dengan menekan dan tahan Lungo Cup Key selama tiga detik hingga lampu hijau berkedi-kedip, kemudian lepas jari Anda. mesin akan membuat kopi dan ketika volume kopi sudah mencapai batas 90cc, hentikan penyeduhan kopi dengan menekan tombol Lungo Cup Key dan mesin akan menyimpan volume dalam memori. Volume cangkir kopi berikutnya akan 90cc dan berhenti sendiri. Bila mesin tidak bekerja selama 15 menit, mesin akan memasuki sleep mode (lampu hijau akan menjadi lampu merah). Untuk mengaktifkan mesin, sentuh salah satu dari dua tombol Cup Key, yang akan mulai berkedip hijau. Ketika mesin telah panas, kedua lampu hijau Cup Key akan berhenti berkedip. PENGHILANGAN KERAK Dianjurkan untuk menghilangkan kerak setiap 4 bulan sekali atau telah membuat 1000 cup coffee, tergantung pada frekuensi penggunaan dan kandungan mineral dalam air Anda; Penghilangan kerak dapat menggunakan POD Brewer cleaner yang dijual di service center kami. 15 PEMBERSIHAN Gunakan kain lembab untuk membersihkan mesin dan jangan menggunakan deterjen abrasif. Lepaskan kotak penampungan PODs dan tiriskan tray (5,7) (Gambar 7) kosongkan semua PODs dan cuci dengan sabun pencuci piring biasa. Kosongkan tangki air secara berkala (8) (Gambar 4) dan bilas dengan air bersih kemudian masukkan kembali ke tempatnya hingga terkunci dengan benar. TROUBLESHOOTING Jika mesin tidak bekerja dengan baik lakukan pemeriksaan sederhana di bawah ini. Jika masalah ini tidak termasuk dalam daftar atau jika masalah masih tetap ada, segera hubungi service center resmi. PERMASALAHAN KEMUNGKINAN PENYEBAB PEMECAHAN MASALAH Mesin tidak mau berfungsi Tidak dihubungkan secara benar ke sumber listrik Pastikan kabel dihubungkan ke sumber listrik dengan benar Kopi terlalu dingin Mesin belum siap digunakan Tunggu sampai lampu indikator hijau berhenti berkedip Kopi tidak keluar atau tetesan Tidak cukup air di dalam tangki Pastikan air di dalam tangki tidak terlalu lambat kosong, jika perlu tambahkan air minum hangat. Jangan membuang peralatan listrik sebagai sampah yang tidak dipisahkan, gunakan fasilitas pengumpulan terpisah. Hubungi pemerintah daerah Anda untuk mendapatkan informasi mengenai sistem pengumpulan yang tersedia. Jika peralatan listrik dibuang di tanah atau pembuangan, bahan berbahaya dapat bocor ke dalam air tanah dan masuk ke rantai makanan, merusak kesehatan dan kesejahteraan. POD BREWER CUBE 15

17 SAFETY GUIDE Read these instructions carefully before using your new coffee machine for the first time. Keep them in a place where you can find and refer to them later on. In case of an emergency: immediately remove the plug from the power socket. Children can never use the appliance without close adult supervision. Check that the voltage quoted on the rating plate is as same as your mains voltage. Connect your appliance only to an earthed power socket. The use of incorrect connections voids the warranty! Your machine is household use only. Remove the plug from the main socket if you will not be using the machine for an unattended time (holidays). Before cleaning and servicing, remove the plug from the main socket and let the machine cool down. Never immerse the machine, cable, or plug in water or any liquid. Keep the cable out of children. Never leave the cable near or in contact with hot parts of the machine, a source of heat, or a sharp edge. Never place the machine on a hot surface, e.g. a heating plate. Never use it around an open flame. Place the machine on a flat, stable, heat resistant surface away from water splashes. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard. POD BREWER CUBE 17

19 INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE! Read these instructions carefully, because they contain important information about safety of instalation, use and maintenance. Keep this booklet carefully for consulting when you need it. Before using, check that the mechanical and other parts of the machine are intact. The body of the machine, tank lid, tank and brewing unit must never be broken or cracked. The sheath and plug of the power cord must never be cracked or broken. If this should occur, disconnect the plug immediately and take the machine to an authorized dealer for checking. It is advisable to power the machine using a contact breaker (RCD) with operating current not higher than 30 ma. Keep the power cord out of the reach of children. Make sure the machine is turned off before plugging it into the socket outlet. The electrical safety of this machine is only assured when it is connected to an efficient earth system, in accordance with the safety regulations in force. Have this important requirement checked by a qualified person. The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for damage caused by lack of an earth. Before plugging in the machine, make sure that the electric power supply is the same as that of the machine. Flying leads or non-approved extensions must not be used for supplying electricity to the machine. Before using the machine, remove all protective films from the POD BREWER CUBE 19

20 outside walls of its body. The first time the machine is used there might be some smell caused by the insulating materials and the heating elements. This disappears after a few minutes. DO NOT LEAVE THE MACHINE WITHOUT WATER IN THE TANK. Never immerse the machine, power cord and plug in water or other liquids. Keep the power cord away from the hot parts of the machine. While in operation, the power plug must always be easy to get at in case the machine has to be disconnected. Do not disconnect the machine by pulling the power cord. Do not move the machine while it is working. Do not leave the machine while it is working because this machine hasn t automatic stop function. Do not use or put the machine out of doors or near water. Always unplug the machine each time after using it. DO NOT LEAVE THE MACHINE IN ROOMS WHERE THE TEMPERATURE IS 0 C OR LOWER. IF YOU ARE PLANNING NOT TO USE THE MACHINE FOR A FAIRLY LONG TIME, LEAVE NO WATER IN THE TANK This machine must never be used by children, invalids etc. except under strict supervision, nor in any case by people that have not been properly instructed about how to use it and about the dangers of improper use. Do not use the machine with bare feet and wet hands. Always unplug the power plug before cleaning the machine and before doing any kind of work on it. 20 POD BREWER CUBE

24 USER SAFETY UNPACKING AND PLACEMENT Remove the machine from its packing and check that all the parts are there and are not broken. Place the machine on a flat, even, stable, heat-resistant surface, strong enough to bear its weight. Do not install or use the machine near curtains or other flammable material and do not place anything on top of it during use. Do not place the machine on top of, or close to, additional oven or other equipment that generates heat (for instance, radiators etc.) Make sure there is enough space around the machine for proper ventilation. HOW TO USE THE MACHINE! Packing materials (cardboard, cellophane, metal staples etc.) could cut or couse injury if not handled carefully or if used incorrectly, keep them out of the reach of children or unskilled persons. This machine is designed for making espresso coffee with ESE pod, solely for household use. It must not be used for other purposes and must not be altered or tampered with for any reason. Use for any other purpose is considered improper and therefore dangerous. The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for any damages resulting from improper, erroneous or unreasonable use. Do not touch the hot parts (Coffee nozzle ) after using the machine. 24 POD BREWER CUBE

25 Danger of scald. While brewing coffee beware of possible splashes of hot coffee. Do not open main lever while brewing coffee. REGULATIONS The manufacturer states that the product referred to in this booklet was manufactured in compliance with the Community Directives as shown in the declaration of conformity attached to this booklet. PREPARING THE MACHINE Water filling Remove the water tank cover (no 8 Figure 1) and pour cold water into the tank (maximum 1000ml), then close the water tank cover Connect the machine to the electricity by inserting the plug (no 10Figure 1) in the socket. STARING UP FOR THE FIRST TIME The first time you use the machine, or if it has not been used for a long time, the following must be done: Remove the tank (no 9 Figure 4) from the machine, wash it well with cold water (maximum 1000ml) and put it back in the machine making sure it is fitted in properly (Figure 5). Make sure the handle (no 1 Figure 3) is down, and then place a cup on the Drain tray cover (no 6 Figure 1). Press the power switch (no 11 Figure 3) switch on the power then power lamps flash green, and wait until the lamps turn to long green (the water to reach temperature to make coffee). Feel the small cup key (or big cup key) (no 3 or 4 Figure 3) one time, then water starts coming out from the nozzle, when coffee is over, the machine will stop itself. This operation is necessary to make sure the tank is filled. POD BREWER CUBE 25

26 MAKING COFFEE Press the power switch (no 11 Figure 3) switch on the power then power lamp flash green and wait for the water to reach temperature then the coffee lamp light (green). Open the handle (no 1 Figure 6). Take a capsule (Figure 6) into the capsule window (no 2 Figure 6). Close the handle (no 1 Figure 3). Take a cup on the drain tray cover (no 6 Figure 3) and feel the small cup key (or big cup key) (no 3or 4 Figure 1), the coffee start brewing, when coffee is finished, the machine will stop itself (Small cup coffee volume is 30cc, Big cup coffee volume is 50cc). After the end of the brewing, open the handle (no 1 Figure 7) the used capsule always drop down to capsule box (no 5 Figure 7). After brewing pieces capsule the capsule box is full, please take out the capsule box unit (no 5,6,7 Figure 7) and clear it. COFFEE SETTING Put the capsule in the machine and handle is close and wait until the cup key light from flash turn to long green (reach temperature for brewing coffee). How to resume the acquiescence coffee volume (small cup coffee volume is 30cc, big cup coffee volume is 50cc). When you want to make coffee for the acquiescence coffee volume, Your finger feel the small cup key and the big cup key at the same time for three seconds and then small cup lamp and big cup lamp flash to acquiescence coffee volume setting, now make coffee, coffee volume will be acquiescence coffee volume. HOW TO MAKE COFFEE FOR 20CC Long feel small cup key (or big cup key) for three seconds and the lamps flash green, then move your finger away (go to coffee setting) 26 POD BREWER CUBE

27 the machine will make coffee when the machine make coffee volume under 20cc (or make coffee volume 20cc) to stop coffee brewing and store the amount to memory, next cup coffee volume will be 20cc and it stop itself. HOW TO MAKE COFFEE FROM 20 TO 120CC Long feel one finger on small cup key (or big cup key) for three seconds to the lamps turn flash green, then move your finger (go to coffee setting, the machine will make coffee. Once the coffee has reached the required level, touch small cup key (or big cup key) to stop the pouring and to store the amount to memory. If you not touch small cup key (or big cup key), the coffee will be stopped itself when the coffee quantity up the maximal quantity 120ml and to store 120ml to memory. When the machine don t work for 15 minutes, the machine will go to sleep (the green light will become red light). To restart the machine, touch one of the two cup key, which will begin to flash green. When the machine is heated, the two cups will have a fixed green light. DESCALING It is advisable to de-scale the appliance every 6 months or so, depending on the frequency of use and the mineral content of your water; De-scale using commercial de-scaling agents recommended for coffee makers or use water and vinegar as follows: Fill the water tank with straight vinegar (5%solution). Operate the appliance, as it making coffee, until the tank is empty. After that, rinse the water tank and let or 2 tanks of fresh water flow through the brew head until there is no more smell of vinegar. POD BREWER CUBE 27

28 Note: This operation may be dangerous if other substance are used instead of vinegar or approved de-scaling materials recommended for household coffee makers. CLEANING Use a damp cloth to clean the body of the machine and do not use abrasive detergents. Remove the capsule box and drain tray (no 5,7 Figure 7) empty any capsules and wash them with an ordinary dishwashing detergent. Periodically remove the water tank (no 8 Figure 4) and rinse it with clean water then put it back properly in its place. TROUBLESHOOTING If the machine is not working properly make the simple checks set out below. If the problem is not among those listed or if it still persists, even if you follow the advice given, contact an authorized dealer. PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE POSSIBLE SOLUTION Machine won t start Not properly plugged into the power Make sure it is properly plugged in. The coffee is too cold. The machine is not ready. Wait until the temperature is reached, shown by the indicator light. Coffee is not being dispensed or it is being done too slowly.
