PEMERINTAHAN 2.2. Pegawai Negeri 2.2 Civil Servants Pegawai Negeri Sipil (PNS) Daerah dalam wilayah Kantor Gubernur Jambi meliputi sekretariat daerah, sekretariat DPRD, dinas, badan, kantor, rumah sakit, sekretariat KPU dan Korpri. Secara keseluruhan berjumlah 6.078 orang yang terdiri dari 3.590 orang laki-laki (59,07 persen) dan 2.488 orang perempuan (40,93 persen). Ditinjau dari segi golongan kepangkatan terbagi menjadi; golongan I sebanyak 131 orang (2,16 persen), golongan II sebanyak 1.547 orang (25,45 persen), golongan III sebanyak 3.942 orang (64,86 persen), dan golongan IV 458 (7,54 persen). Secara umum, tingkat pendidikan Pegawai Negeri Sipil terbanyak adalah Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) 2.498 orang (41,10 persen), disusul Strata 1 (S1) 2.076 orang (34,16 persen), Diploma I-IV 726 orang (11,94 persen), Pasca Sarjana (S2) 414 orang (6,81 persen), SMP 202 orang (3,32 persen), Sekolah Dasar (SD) 155 orang (2,55 persen), dan Doktor (S3) 7 orang (0,12 persen). GOVERNMENT 2.3. Anggota Dewan 2.3. The Parliament Jumlah Anggota Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat Daerah Provinsi Jambi sebanyak 45 orang yang terdiri dari 40 orang laki-laki dan 5 perempuan. Partai Demokrat dan PAN memiliki wakil terbanyak yaitu masingmasing 8 orang atau 17,78 %. Sedangkan jumlah anggota dewan Perwakilan Rakyat di kabupaten/ kota sebanyak 385 orang. 2.4. Administrasi Pada tahun 2010 terjadi peningkatan kejadian kecelakaan dari tahun 2009. Terjadi 804 kejadian pada tahun 2010 atau naik 30,31 % dari tahun sebelumnya. Kecelakaan tersebut mengakibatkan 481 orang luka ringan, 584 luka berat, 482 orang meninggal dunia dan kerugian material sekitar 3,31 Milyar rupiah. Tersedia juga data pelayanan pemerintahan seperti jumlah Surat Izin Mengemudi (SIM), jumlah perkara pidana dan perkara keagamaan yang masing-masing ditangani oleh Pengadilan Tinggi Pengadilan Tinggi Agama, serta jumlah narapidana yang terdapat di LAPAS.
