2 SAFETY PRECAUTION Please read the Safety Precaution carefully before operating the unit to ensure correct usage of the unit. Pay special attention to signs of! Warning and! Caution. The Warning section contains matters which, if not observed strictly, may cause death or serious injury. The Caution section contains matters which may result in serious consequences if not observed properly. Please observe all instructions strictly to ensure safety. The sign indicate the following meanings. Please keep this manual after reading.! WARNING! CAUTION Make sure to connect earth line. Indicates the instructions that must be followed. The sign in the figure indicates prohibition. PRECAUTIONS DURING INSTALLATION Do not reconstruct the unit. Water leakage, fault, short circuit or fire may occur if you reconstruct the unit by yourself. Please ask your sales agent or qualified technician for the installation of your unit. Water leakage, short circuit or fire may occur if you install the unit by yourself. Please use earth line. Do not place the earth line near water or gas pipes, lightning-conductor, or the earth line of telephone. Improper installation of earth line may cause electric shock. Be sure to use the specifi ed piping set for R410A. Otherwise, this may result in broken copper pipes or faults. A circuit breaker should be installed depending on the mounting site of the unit. Without a circuit breaker, the danger of electric shock exists. Do not install the unit near a location where there is flammable gas. The outdoor unit may catch fire if flammable gas leaks around it. Please ensure smooth fl ow of water when installing the drain hose.! W A R N I N G PRECAUTIONS DURING SHIFTING OR MAINTENANCE Should abnormal situation arises (like burning smell), please stop operating the unit and turn off the circuit breaker. Contact your agent. Fault, short circuit or fire may occur if you continue to operate the unit under abnormal situation. Please contact your agent for maintenance. Improper self maintenance may cause electric shock and fi re. Please contact your agent if you need to remove and reinstall the unit. Electric shock or fi re may occur if you remove and reinstall the unit yourself improperly. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the special cord obtainable at authorized service/parts centers. PRECAUTIONS DURING OPERATION! W A R N I N G Avoid an extended period of direct air flow for your health. Do not insert a finger, a rod or other objects into the air outlet or inlet. As the fan is rotating at a high speed, it will cause injury. Before cleaning, be sure to stop the operation and turn the breaker OFF. Do not use any conductor as fuse wire, this could cause fatal accident. During thunder storm, disconnect and turn off the circuit breaker. 2

3 PRECAUTIONS DURING OPERATION The product shall be operated under the manufacturer specifi cation and not for any other intended use. Do not attempt to operate the unit with wet hands, this could cause fatal accident. ENGLISH Do not direct the cool air coming out from the air-conditioner panel to face household heating apparatus as this may affect the working of apparatus such as the electric kettle, oven etc. Please ensure that outdoor mounting frame is always stable, fi rm and without defect. If not, the outdoor unit may collapse and cause danger. Do not splash or direct water to the body of the unit when cleaning it as this may cause short circuit.! C A U T I O N Do not use any aerosol or hair sprays near the indoor unit. This chemical can adhere on heat exchanger fin and blocked the evaporation water fl ow to drain pan. The water will drop on tangential fan and cause water splashing out from indoor unit. Please switch off the unit and turn off the circuit breaker during cleaning, the high-speed fan inside the unit may cause danger. Turn off the circuit breaker if the unit is not to be operated for a long period. Do not climb on the outdoor unit or put objects on it. Do not put water container (like vase) on the indoor unit to avoid water dripping into the unit. Dripping water will damage the insulator inside the unit and causes short-circuit. Do not place plants directly under the air flow as it is bad for the plants. When operating the unit with the door and windows opened, (the room humidity is always above 80%) and with the air defl ector facing down or moving automatically for a long period of time, water will condense on the air deflector and drips down occasionally. This will wet your furniture. Therefore, do not operate under such condition for a long time. If the amount of heat in the room is above the cooling capability of the unit (for example: more people entering the room, using heating equipments and etc.), the preset room temperature cannot be achieved. This appliance is not intended for use by young children unless they have been adequately supervised by a responsible person to ensure that they can use the appliance safely. Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. 3

5 INDOOR UNIT INDICATORS FILTER LAMP When the device is operated for a total of about 200 hours, the FILTER lamp lights to indicate that it is time to clean the fi lter. The lamp goes out when the (AUTO SWING) button is pressed while the device is on STANDBY MODE. ENGLISH OPERATION LAMP This lamp lights during operation. TIMER LAMP This lamp lights when the timer is working. OPERATION INDICATOR TEMPORARY SWITCH Use this switch to start and stop when the remote controller does not work. By pressing the temporary switch, the operation is done in previously set operation mode. When the operation is done using the temporary switch after the power source is turned off and turn on again, the operation is done in automatic mode. 5

6 NAMES AND FUNCTIONS OF REMOTE CONTROL UNIT REMOTE CONTROLLER This controls the operation of the indoor unit. Signal range to reach indoor unit is about 7 meters. If inverter lamp is used, the range of control may be shorter. This unit can be fi xed on a wall using the fi xture provided. Before fi xing it, make sure the indoor unit can be controlled from the remote controller. Transmission sign The transmission sign blinks when a signal is sent. Display This indicates the room temperature selected, timer status, function and intensity of circulation selected. CIRCULATION button Use this button to set air circulation in the room or start operation. DEHUMIDIFYING button Use this button to dehumidify the room or start operation. COOLING button Use this button to set cooling mode in the room or start operation. RESET button POWERFUL MODE buttona Use this button to deliver faster and more comfortable air-conditioning or start operation.to STOP button Press this button to stop operation only. ONE-TOUCH SILENT button Use this button to set silent condition. FAN SPEED selector This determines the fan speed. Each time you press this button, the intensity of circulation will change from (AUTO) to (HI) to (MED) to (LOW) to (SILENT). AUTO SWING button Controls the angle of the horizontal air defl ector. TEMPERATURE button Use this button to raise or lower the temperature setting. (Keep pressed, and the value will change more quickly.) SLEEP button Use this button to set the sleep timer. ON-TIMER button Select to turn ON time. Precautions for Use Do not put the remote controller in the following places. In direct sunlight. In the vicinity of a heater. Handle the remote controller carefully. Do not drop it on the fl oor, and protect it from water. Once the outdoor unit stops, it will not restart for about 3 minutes (unless you turn the power switch off and on or unplug the power cord and plug it in again). This is to protect the device and does not indicate a failure. 6

7 COOLING OPERATION Use the device for cooling when the outdoor temperature is C. If indoor humidity is very high (over 80%), some dew may form on the air outlet grille of the indoor unit. ENGLISH 1 Press the (COOLING) button so that the display indicates (COOL). Cooling operation starts with a beep. The cooling function does not start if the temperature setting is higher than the current room temperature (even though the (OPERATION) lamp lights). The cooling function will start as soon as you set the temperature below the current room temperature. Set the desired FAN SPEED with the (the display indicates the setting). (FAN) button 2 (AUTO) : The FAN SPEED is HI at fi rst and varies to MED or LOW automatically when the preset temperature has been reached. (HI) (MED) (LOW) : Hi fan speed mode. : Medium fan speed mode. : Low fan speed mode. (SILENT) : Silent fan speed mode. 3 Set the desired room temperature with the TEMPERATURE button (the display indicates the setting). The range of C is recommended as the room temperature for cooling. If the temperature setting is 27 C, the room temperature will be controlled at around 27 C. The temperature setting and the actual room temperature may vary somewhat depending on conditions. STOP Press the button to stop operation. As the settings are stored in memory in the remote controller, you only have to press the settings next time. (COOLING) button to repeat the same 7

8 DEHUMIDIFYING OPERATION Use the device for dehumidifying when the room temperature is over 16 C. When it is under 15 C, the dehumidifying function will not work. 1 Press the (DEHUMIDIFY) button. Dehumidifying operation starts with a beep. The FAN SPEED is set at SILENT or LOW automatically. The FAN SPEED button can be used to change between SILENT and LOW only. 2 Set the desired room temperature with the TEMPERATURE button (the display indicates the setting). The range of C is recommended as the room temperature for dehumidifying. STOP Press the button to stop operation. As the settings are stored in memory in the remote controller, you only have to press the (DEHUMIDIFY) button next time. Dehumidifying Function When the room temperature is higher than the temperature setting: The device will dehumidify the room, reducing the room temperature to the preset level. When the room temperature is lower than the temperature setting: Dehumidifying will be performed at the temperature setting slightly lower than the current room temperature, regardless of the temperature setting. The function will stop (the indoor unit will stop emitting air) as soon as the room temperature becomes lower than the setting temperature. You might feel a bit colder in dehumidifying operation. 8

9 CIRCULATION OPERATION 1 Press the (CIRCULATION) button so that the display indicates (CIRCULATE). Circulating operation starts with a beep. ENGLISH 2 3 Press the FAN SPEED button and select the desired FAN SPEED (the display indicates your choice). Press the temperature control button to set to the desired temperature. STOP Press the button to stop operation. As the settings are stored in memory in the remote controller, you only have to press the time. (CIRCULATION) button next Circulation Function During circulation operation, compressor does not run and there is no cooling operation with only indoor fan running. When the setting temperature is higher than room temperature, indoor fan will stop running. 9

10 ONE-TOUCH SILENT MODE 1 Press the button. One time push to activate Super Silent symbol. Operation start with a signal received sound beep. Unit will be forced to operate in Cooling mode fan speed will be changed to SILENT. and indoor Press again to stop it, unit will continue to operate in cooling mode base on previous setting. Stop operation Press button POWERFUL operation Press Press button button Cooling operation based on previous fan speed NOTE: Under ONE-TOUCH SILENT operation and quiet environment, phenomena like fl owing noise of refrigerant in the refrigerating cycle may occur, but this is normal for the operation. 10

11 ONE-TOUCH POWERFUL MODE 1 Press the button. Operation start with a signal received sound beep. Unit will be forced operate in (COOL) with POWERFUL MODE fan speed for 60 minutes, within this 60 minutes, fan speed may varies. Indicator appear during this period while temperature and fan speed setting display remain unchanged. (Operation lamp at indoor unit is blinking). ENGLISH After 60 minutes, operation lamp stop blinking and indicator will disappear while unit will be in previous mode setting. Temperature and fan speed will change to previous setting. Air blow sound will be slightly high due to forced operation. CANCELLATION of POWERFUL Operation Cancel Condition Operation mode after cancel Press or SLEEP timer time is up Stop operation If feeling so cold, cancel this powerful mode as mentioned in CANCELLATION of POWERFUL operation. 12 HOW TO SET THE SLEEP TIMER Press the (SLEEP) button, and the display changes as shown below. Mode Sleep timer Indication 41 hr 42 hrs 43 hrs 410 hrs 411 hrs 412 hrs Cancel sleep timer 1 SLEEP Sleep Timer: The device will continue working for the designated number of hours and then turn off. Point the signal window of the remote controller toward the indoor unit, and press the SLEEP button. The timer information will be displayed on the remote controller. The TIMER lamp lights with a beep from the indoor unit. Explanation of the sleep timer NOTE You can not set other timer during sleep timer operation. After sleep timer time is up and when press sleep button again, the sleep timer will be set as last setting. Sleep timer is effective only once. Press button to select the fan speed during sleep timer operation. 12

13 HOW TO SET THE TIMER ON Timer Reservation ON TIME setting Select the ON TIMER by pressing the (ON) Button. Setting time will change according to the below sequence. Operation will start for setting temperature at setting time (The starting time may different depend on the room temperature and set temperature). ENGLISH Press button to select the fan speed during on timer operation. 13

14 AIR FLOW LOUVERS ADJUSTMENTS 1 Adjustment of the conditioned air in the upward and downward directions. The horizontal air defl ector is automatically set to the proper angle suitable for each operation. The defl ector can be swung up and down continuously and also set to the desired angle using the (AUTO SWING) button. If the (AUTO SWING) button is pressed once, the horizontal air defl ector swings up and down. If the button is pressed again, the defl ector stops in its current position. Several seconds (about 6 seconds) may be required before the defl ector starts to move. Use the horizontal air deflector within the adjusting range shown on the right. When the operation is stopped, the horizontal air deflector moves and stops at the position where the air outlet closes.! CAUTION In Cooling operation, do not keep the horizontal air defl ector swinging for a long time. Some dew may form on the horizontal air defl ector and dew may drop. 2 Adjustment of the conditioned air to the left and right. Hold the second vertical air defl ector of each set of vertical air defl ectors from right as shown in the fi gure and adjust the conditioned air to the left and right. 14

15 HOW TO EXCHANGE THE BATTERIES IN THE REMOTE CONTROLLER When using the remote control, if there is no response from the air conditioner unit and or the remote control has fading and dim displays, the batteries in the remote control device need to be removed and replaced with new ones ENGLISH 1 2 Remove the cover as shown in the fi gure and take out the old batteries. = Install the new batteries. The direction of the batteries should match the marks in the case.! CAUTION 1. Do not use new and old batteries, or different kinds of batteries together. 2. Take out the batteries when you do not use the remote controller for 2 or 3 months. 3. Use high quality and high performance AAA batteries to avoid short operating life and electrolyte leakages 15

16 THE IDEAL WAYS OF OPERATION Suitable Room Temperature Install curtain or blinds! Warning It is possible Freezing temperature is bad for health and a waste of electric power. to reduce heat entering the room through windows. Ventilation! Caution Do not close the room for a long period of time. Occasionally open the door and windows to allow the entrance of fresh air. Effective Usage Of Timer At night, please use the OFF or ON timer operation mode, together with your wake up time in the morning. This will enable you to enjoy a comfortable room temperature. Please use the timer effectively. Do Not Forget To Clean The Pre-Filter Dusty air fi lter will reduce the air volume and the cooling efficiency. To prevent from wasting electric energy, please clean the fi lter every 2 weeks. Please Adjust Suitable Temperature For Baby And Children Please pay attention to the room temperature and air flow direction when operating the unit for baby, children and old folks who have difficulty in movement. 16

17 FOR USER S INFORMATION The Air Conditioner And The Heat Source In The Room ENGLISH! Caution If the amount of heat in the room is above the cooling capability of the air conditioner (for example: more people entering the room, using heating equipments and etc.), the preset room temperature cannot be achieved. Not Operating For A Long Time When the indoor unit is not to be used for a long period of time, please switch off the power from the mains. If the power from mains remains ON, the indoor unit still consumes about 5W in the operation control circuit even if it is in OFF mode. OFF When Lightning Occurs! Warning To protect the whole unit during lightning, please stop operating the unit and remove the plug from the socket. Interference From Electrical Products! Caution To avoid noise interference, please place the indoor unit and its remote controller at least 1m away from electrical products. 17

18 ATTACHING THE AIR PURIFYING FILTERS! CAUTION Cleaning and maintenance must be carried out when fi lter lamp lights. Before cleaning, stop operation and switch off the power supply. 1 Open the front panel Pull up the front panel by holding it at both sides with both hands. 2 Remove the Pre-filter Push upward to release the claws and pull out the Pre-fi lter. 3 Attaching the air purifying filters Attach the air purifying fi lters to the frame by gently compress its both sides and release after insertion into Pre-fi lter frame.! CAUTION Do not bend the air purifying fi lter as it may cause damage to the structure. Please do not smell direct from source of fi lter. 4 Attach the Pre-filters Attach the Pre-fi lters by ensuring that the surface written FRONT is facing front. After attaching the Pre-fi lters, push the front panel at three arrow portions as shown in fi gure and close it. NOTE In case of removing the air purifying fi lters, please follow the above procedures. The cooling capacity is slightly weakened and the cooling speed becomes slower when the air purifying fi lters are used. So, set the fan speed to "HIGH" when using it in this condition. Air purifying fi lters are not washable. It is recommended to use vacuum to clean it. It can be use for 1 year time. Type number for this air purifying fi lter is <SPX-CFH22>. Please use this number for ordering when you want to renew it. Do not operate the air conditioner without Pre-fi lter. Dust may enter the air conditioner and fault may occur. 18

19 MAINTENANCE! CAUTION Cleaning and maintenance must be carried out when fi lter lamp lights. Before cleaning, stop operation and switch off the power supply. ENGLISH 1. PRE-FILTER Clean the Pre-fi lter, as it removes dust inside the room. In case the Pre-fi lter is full of dust, the air flow will decrease and the cooling capacity will be reduced. Further, noise may occur. Be sure to clean the Pre-fi lter following the procedure below. 1 Open the front panel and remove the Pre-fi lter Gently lift and remove the air purifying fi lters from the air purifying fi lter frame. 2 Vacuum dust from the Pre-fi lter and air purifying fi lter using vacuum cleaner. If there is too much dust, rinse under running tap water and gently brush it with soft bristle brush. Allow fi lters to dry in shade. 3 Re-insert the air purifying fi lter to the fi lter frame. Set the Pre-fi lter with FRONT mark facing front, and slot them into the original state. After attaching the Pre-fi lters, push the front panel at three arrow portions as shown in fi gure and close it. NOTE: Air purifying fi lter should be cleaned every month or sooner if noticeable loading occurs. When used overtime, it may loose its deodorizing function. For maximum performance, it is recommended to replace it every 1 year depending on application requirements.! CAUTION Do not wash with hot water at more than 40 C. The fi lters may shrink. When washing it, shake off moisture completely and dry it in the shade; do not expose it directly to the sun. The fi lters may shrink. Do not use detergent on the air purifying fi lter as some detergent may deteriorate the air purifying filter electrostatic performance. 19

20 2. CLEANING OF FRONT PANEL Remove the front panel and wash with clean water. Wash it with a soft sponge. After using neutral detergent, wash thoroughly with clean water. When front panel is not removed, wipe it with a soft dry cloth. Wipe the remote controller thoroughly with a soft dry cloth. Wipe the water thoroughly. If water remains at indicators or signal receiver of indoor unit, it causes trouble. Method of removing the front panel. Be sure to hold the front panel with both hands to detach and attach it. Removing the Front Panel Attaching the Front Panel When the front panel is fully opened with both hands, push the right arm to the inside to release it, and while closing the front panel slightly, pull it out forward. Move the projections of the left and right arms into the Flanges in the unit and securely insert them into the holes.! CAUTION Never use hot water (above 40 C), benzine, gasoline, acid, thinner or a brush, because they will damage the plastic surface and the coating. 20

21 ! CAUTION Please use earth line. Do not place the earth line near water or gas pipes, lightning-conductor, or the earth line of telephone. Improper installation of earth line may cause electric shock. A circuit breaker should be installed depending on the mounting site of the unit. Without a circuit breaker, the danger of electric shock exists. ENGLISH NOTE If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the special cord obtainable at authorized service/parts centers.! CAUTION Cleaning and maintenance must be carried out only by qualified service personal. Before cleaning, stop operation and switch off the power supply. REGULAR INSPECTION PLEASE CHECK THE FOLLOWING POINTS BY QUALIFIED SERVICE PERSONAL EITHER EVERY HALF YEARLY OR YEARLY. CONTACT YOUR SALES AGENT OR SERVICE SHOP. 1 Is the earth line disconnected or broken? 2 Is the mounting frame seriously affected by rust and is the outdoor unit tilted or unstable? 3 Is the plug of power line firmly plugged into the socket? (Please ensure no loose contact between them). 21

22 AFTER SALE SERVICE AND WARRANTY WHEN ASKING FOR SERVICE, CHECK THE FOLLOWING POINTS CONDITION CHECK THE FOLLOWING POINTS When it does not operate Is the fuse all right? Is the voltage extremely high or low? Is the circuit breaker ON? When it does not cool well Was the air fi lter cleaned? Does sunlight fall directly on the outdoor unit? Is the air fl ow of the outdoor unit obstructed? Are the doors or windows opened, or is there any source of heat in the room? Is the set temperature suitable? Notes In quiet or stop operation, the following phenomena may occassionally occur, but they are not abnormal for the operation. (1) Slight fl owing noise of refrigerant in the refrigerating cycle. (2) Slight rubbing noise from the fan casing which is cooled and then gradually warmed as operation stops. The odor will possibly be emitted from the room air conditioner because the various odor, emitted by smoke, foodstuffs, cosmetics and so on, sticks to it. So the air fi lter and the evaporator regularly must be cleaned to reduce the odor. Please contact your sales agent immediately if the air conditioner still fails to operate normally after the above inspections. Inform your agent of the model of your unit, production number, date of installation. Please also inform him regarding the fault. Power supply shall be connected at the rated voltage, otherwise the unit will be broken or could not reach the specifi ed capacity. 22

23 Please note: On switching on the equipment, particularly when the room light is dimmed, a slight brightness fl uctuation may occur. This is of no consequence. The conditions of the local Power Supply Companies are to be observed. Note Avoid to use the room air conditioner for cooling operation when the outside temperature is below 21 C (70 F). PERHATIAN Ikuti arahan-arahan yang mesti diikuti. HAL YANG HARUS DIPERHATIKAN DALAM PEMASANGAN Jangan membongkar pasang unit AC sendiri, hal ini dapat merusak AC bahkan mengakibatkan kebakaran bila terjadi korslet. Hubungi toko penjual atau teknisi ahli untuk pemasangan unit AC ini. Kebocoran air, korslet atau bahkan kebakaran dapat terjadi bila di pasang sendiri dengan tidak benar. Untuk menghindari terjadinya kejutan listrik, pasanglah kabel arde ke bumi. Jangan mengikat kabel arde ke pipa air atau gas atau arde untuk telepon. Pastikan untuk menggunakan set pipa untuk R410A. Bila tidak, hal ini dapat menyebabkan pipa tembaga pecah atau rusak. Gunakan sakelar pengaman yg dipasang sesuai dengan kondisi ruangan dan unit indoor agar aman bila terjadi korslet. Jangan memasang unit AC di dekat gas yang mudah terbakar. Unit outdoor dpt terbakar jika terjadi kebocoran gas di sekitarnya. Pastikan aliran air pembuangan mengalir dengan lancar pada saat pemasangannya.! W A S P A D A PERHATIAN DALAM HAL PEMINDAHAN ATAU PERAWATAN Jika terdapat hal yang tidak wajar (berbau hangus), matikan operasi unit AC serta putuskan aliran listriknya. Segera hubungi perwakilan service terdekat untuk di tanggulangi. Hubungi perwakilan service untuk perawatan atau perbaikan. Penangan yang tidak tepat dapat mengakibatkan kerusakkan pada unit AC. Hubungi perwakilan service bila unit AC ingin di pindahkan dari tempatnya semula ke tempat lain. Jika kabel pasokan rusak, harus diganti dengan kabel khusus yang dapat diperoleh di pusat layanan/suku cadang resmi. HAL YANG PERLU DIPERHATIKAN DALAM PENGOPERASIAN Hindari hembusan udara langsung ke tubuh Anda selama unit AC.! Jangan masukkan jari, batang atau benda lain ke dalam salur masuk udara. Karena kipas berputar dengan kecepatan tinggi, hal itu akan menyebabkan cedera. Sebelum membersihkan, pastikan untuk menghentikan operasi dan MATIKAN pemutus arus. W A S P A D A Jangan menggunakan lembaran kebel sebagai pengganti sekering, hal ini dapat mengakibatkan korslet atu kebakaran. Selama terjadi badai halilintar, putuskan aliran listrik ke unit AC dari sumber listrik. 26

27 HAL YANG PERLU DIPERHATIKAN DALAM PENGOPERASIAN Produk ini hanya dioperasikan sesuai dengan petunjuk dan spesifi kasi dari pabrik, tidak untuk keperluan lain yang tidak sesuai ketentuan dari pabrik. Jangan mengoperasikan atau mengkotak katik unit AC dengan tangan yang basah agar terhindar dari hal-hal yang dapat mencelakakan. Jangan menghembuskan udara dingin dari indoor unit langsung ke peralatan pemanas seperti ketel pemasak air, oven dsb karena hal ini akan mengganggu kinerja peralatan tersebut. Pastikan kedudukan outdoor unit stabil tidak mudah bergerak. Jangan menyemprotkan air langsung ke unit indoor bila membersihkannya, bila terkena sirkuit listrik dapat mengakibatkan kerusakkan / korslet. BAHASA INDONESIA! P E R H A T I A N Jangan menggunakan bahan aerosol atau hair spray didekat indoor unit. Residu kimia dari bahan ini dpt menempel pd evaporator yg akan mengganggu aliran air yang jatuh ke rak penampungan air sehingga air dapat nyiprat keluar pd saat fan bekerja. Matikan operasi unit AC dan lepaskan stop kontak dari sumber listrik pada saat ingin membersihkan unit AC, hal ini untuk menghindari bahaya dari baling-baling kipas. Lepaskan stop kontak unit AC dari sumber listrik apabila unit AC tidak di pakai untuk waktu yang lama. Jangan menduduki unit outdoor atau menaruh benda diatasnya. Jangan meletakkan gelas air atau vas bunga diatas indoor unit agar air tidak tumpah ke dalamnya karena hal ini akan mengakibatkan korslet. Udara panas dari indoor unit jangan dihembuskan langsung terkena tanaman, ini akan merusak tanaman. Bila mengoperasikan unit AC dengan jendela atau pintu dalam keadaan terbuka. (Kelembahan udara selalu diatas 80%), hal ini dapat mengakibatkan terjadinya kondensasi air yang kemungkinan akan menetes keluar dari indoor. Untuk itu, jangan mengoperasikan unit AC dengan kondisi seperti ini. Bila ruangan terlalu besar dan udara cukup panas sehingga kapasitas pendinginan unit AC di luar batas kemampuannya, maka udara dingin yang diinginkan tidak dapat tercapai. Alat ini tidak dimaksudkan untuk digunakan oleh anak kecil kecuali mereka diawasi oleh orang dewasa yang bertanggung jawab untuk memastikan bahwa mereka dapat menggunakan alat ini dengan aman. Anak-anak kecil harus diawasi untuk memastikan bahwa mereka tidak bermain-main dengan alat ini. 27

29 INDIKATOR PADA INDOOR UNIT LAMPU FILTER Apabila perangkat telah dioperasikan selama sekitar 200 jam, lampu FILTER menyala untuk mengindikasikan bahwa sudah waktunya untuk membersihkan filter. Lampu akan mati saat tombol (AUTOSWING) ditekan pada perangkat berada dalam STANDBY MODE. LAMPU TANDA OPERASI Lampua ini terus menyala saat AC sedang beroperasi. LAMPU TIMER Lampu ini menyala bila timer sedang berfungsi. BAHASA INDONESIA INDIKATOR PENGOPERASIAN SAKELAR DARURAT Pergunakan sakelar ini untuk menghidupkan atau mematikan pengoperasian AC bila peralatan remote control rusak. Dengan menggunakan sakelar darurat ini, unit akan beroperasi berdasarkan kondisi yang telah di setel sebelumnya. Bila sakelar darurat ini di pergunakan setelah sumber listrik ke unit AC di putus dan di sambung kembali maka operasi AC masuk ke mode otomatis. 29

30 NAMA DAN FUNGSI MASING-MASING REMOTE CONTROL REMOTE CONTROL. Alat ini mengontrol operasi indoor unit. Jarak kontrol sekitar 7 m, jika penerangan ruangan di kontrol secara elektronis, jarak kontrol dapat kurang dari itu. Alat ini dapat di gantung pada tembok dengan penyangga yg di sertakan, sebelum memasangnya pastikan jarak remote control ke indoor unit dalam batas kontrol. TANDA PENGIRIMAN SINYAL Tanda ini berkedip saat sinyal di kirim. TAMPILAN LAYAR Menunjukkan suhu udara yang di pilih, jam sekarang, status tuner fungsi serta intensitas sirkulasi yang di pilih. TOMBOL SIRKULASI Gunakan tombol ini untuk mengatur sirkulasi udara di dalam ruangan atau memulai operasi. TOMBOL PENGERINGAN UDARA Gunakan tombol ini untuk menghilangkan kelembapan ruangan atau memulai operasi. TOMBOL PENDINGINAN Gunakan tombol ini untuk mengatur mode pendinginan di dalam ruangan atau untuk memulai operasi. TOMBOL RESET TOMBOL MODE KUATA Gunakan tombol ini untuk memberikan penyejukan atau operasi mulai yang lebih cepat dan nyaman.to TOMBOL OFF Tekan tombol ini untuk mematikan operasi AC. TOMBOL SENYAP SEKALI SENTUH Gunakan tombol ini untuk menyetel kondisi senyap. PEMILIH KECEPATAN KIPAS Ini menentukan kecepatan kipas. Setiap kali Anda menekan tombol ini, intensitas sirkulasi akan berubah dari (AUTO) ke (TINGGI [HI]) ke (SEDANG [MED] ) ke (RENDAH [LOW]) ke (SENYAP [SILENT]). TOMBOL PENGARAH HEMBUSAN UDARA Mengontrol hembusan udara secara horizontal. TOMBOL SUHU Tekan tombol ini untuk menaikkan / menurunkan suhu yang di kehendaki. TOMBOL TIDUR Gunakan tombol ini untuk menyetel pengatur waktu tidur (sleep timer). TOMBOL ON TIMER Timer untuk memulai operasi. PERHATIAN DALAM PEMAKAIAN Jangan meletakkan remote control di tempat: Terkena sinar matahari langsung. Didaerah dekat pemanas. Jaga alat ini jangan sampai terbanting atau terkena air. Pada saat outdoor unit berhenti operasi, untuk operasi kembali butuh waktu 3 menit kecuali sumber listrik ke unit AC diputus dan di sambung kembali. Hal ini untuk pengamanan unit dan kesalahan operasi. Jika tombol PILIHAN MODE di tekan pada saat operasi, sistim pada unit AC akan berhenti operasi selama 3 menit. 30

31 OPERASI PENDINGINAN Operasikan mode "Pendinginan" bila suhu di luar ruang antara C. Jika kelembaban udara di dalam ruangan sangat tinggi (lebih dari 80%), percikan air mungkin dapat terjadi pd grill dari indoor unit. 1 2 Tekan tombol PENDINGINAN (COOLING) sehingga tampilan mengindikasikan SEJUK (COOL) Operasi pendinginan di mulai dengan suara bip. Operasi pendinginan tidak akan bekerja selama suhu disetel lebih tinggi dari suhu ruangan meskipun lampu tanda operasi menyala. Operasi pendinginan akan bekerja bila setelan suhu lebih rendah dari suhu ruangan. Tekan tombol kecepatan kipas hingga tanda pada layar remote muncul sesuai dgn kecepatan yg dikehendaki. (AUTO) : KECEPATAN KIPAS adalah TINGGI (HI) pada awalnya dan bervariasi ke SEDANG (MED) atau RENDAH (LOW) secara otomatis bila suhu yang ditetapkan sebelumnya sudah tercapai. BAHASA INDONESIA TINGGI (HI) SEDANG (MED) RENDAH (LOW) : Mode kecepatan kipas tinggi. : Mode kecepatan kipas medium. : Mode kecepatan kipas rendah. SENYAP (SILENT) : Mode kecepatan kipas senyap. 3 Tentukan suhu ruangan yang di kehendaki dgn menekan tombol suhu hingga tampilan layar menunjukkan angka suhu yang di kehendaki. Suhu antara C disarankan untuk penyetelan pendinginan, bila suhu disetel pada posisi 27 C, maka suhu ruangan berada pada kontrol 27 C. Suhu yg disetel belum tentu sama dgn suhu ruangan, hal ini bergantung pada keadaan disekitatnya. STOP Tekan tombol untuk menghentikan operasi. Karena setelan disimpan di memori pada pengendali jarak jauh, anda hanya perlu menekan tombol setelan yang sama kali berikutnya. (PENDINGINAN) untuk mengulangi 31

32 OPERASI PENGERINGAN UDARA Operasi pengeringan ini hanya dapat berfungsi apabila suhu ruangan berada diatas 16 C. Bila suhu ruangan berada di bawah 15 C, fungsi ini tidak akan bekerja. 1 Tekan tombol (PENGERINGAN). Operasi pengeringan di mulai dengan adanya suara beep. Kecepatan kipas disetel ke SENYAP (SILENT) atau RENDAH (LOW) secara otomatis. Tombol KECEPATAN KIPAS (FAN SPEED) hanya dapat digunakan untuk mengganti antara SENYAP (SILENT) dan RENDAH (LOW) saja. 2 Tekan tombol suhu hingga angka pada layar menunjukkan suhu yang di kehendaki. Setelan antara C disarankan untuk proses pengeringan. STOP Tekan tombol untuk menghentikan operasi. Oleh kerana setiap setelan yang telah di pilih masuk ke memory, Anda hanya cukup menekan tombol (Pengeringan) untuk mengoperasikannya kembali. FUNGSI PENGERINGAN UDARA Bila suhu ruangan lebih tinggi dari suhu yang di setel : AC akan bekerja untuk mengeringkan udara ruangan dan menurunkan suhu ruangan hingga tercapai suhu yang disetel. Bila suhu ruangan lebih rendah dari suhu yang disetel : Pengeringan udara akan bekerja pada suhu yang disetel sedikit lebih rendah dari suhu ruangan. Fungsi ini akan berhenti bekerja (unit indoor berhenti menghisap uap air udara ruangan) sesaat setelah suhu ruangan menjadi lebih rendah dari suhu yang di setel. 32

33 PENGOPERASIAN SIRKULASI UDARA 1 Tekan tombol SIRKULASI UDARA (CIRCULATION) sehingga tampilan mengindikasikan SIRKULASI (CIRCULATE). Operasi sirkulasi udara bekerja dgn tanda suara beep. 2 3 STOP Tekan tombol KECEPATAN KIPAS untuk menetukan kecepatan kipas. (Layar akan menunjukkan kecepatan yang di pilih). Tekan tombol suhu untuk memilih suhu yang di kehendaki. Tekan tombol untuk menghentikan operasi. Oleh karena setiap setelan yang telah dipilih masuk kememory, BAHASA INDONESIA Anda hanya cukup menekan tombol untuk mengoperasikannya kembali. (SIRKULASI UDARA) Fungsi Sirkulasi Selama operasi sirkulasi, kompresor tidak akan beroperasi dan tidak ada operasi pendinginan dengan hanya kipas dalam ruang (indoor) yang berjalan. Ketika suhu pengaturan lebih tinggi dari suhu ruang, kipas dalam ruang (indoor) akan berhenti beroperasi. 33

34 MODE SENYAP SEKALI SENTUH Tekan tombol. 1 Sekali tekan untuk mengaktivasi simbol Super Senyap. Operasi dimulai dengan bunyi sinyal bip yang diterima. Unit akan dipaksa untuk beroperasi pada mode Pendinginan dan kecepatan kipas internal akan diubah ke SENYAP. Tekan kembali untuk menghentikan, unit akan terus beroperasi dalam mode pendinginan berdasarkan setelan sebelumnya. PEMBATALAN Operasi SENYAP SEKALI SENTUH Kondisi batal Tekan tombol Tekan tombol Tekan tombol Tekan tombol Mode operasi setelah batal Operasi berhenti. Operasi KUAT Operasi pendinginan berdasarkan kecepatan kipas sebelumnya. CATATAN: Pada operasi SENYAP SEKALI SENTUH dan dalam lingkungan yang tenang, fenomena seperti suara aliran pendingin dalam siklus pendinginan mungkin terjadi, namun ini merupakan hal yang normal untuk operasi ini. 34

35 MODE KUAT SEKALI SENTUH Tekan tombol. 1 Operasi AC akan bekerja dengan tanda suara beep. Unit akan dipaksa beroperasi dalam (DINGIN) dengan kecepatan kipas MODE KUAT selama 60 menit, dalam 60 menit ini, kecepatan kipas dapat bervariasi. Indikator muncul selama periode ini sementara tampilan setelan suhu dan kecepatan kipas tetap tidak berubah. (Lampu operasi di unit dalam ruang berkedip). Setelah 60 menit, lampu operasi berhenti berkedip dan indikator akan menghilang sedangkan unit akan berada dalam setelan mode sebelumnya. Suhu dan kecepatan kipas akan berubah ke setelan sebelumnya. Suara hembusan udara sedikit lebih kuat karena pengoperasian mode ini. BAHASA INDONESIA PEMBATALAN Operasi KUAT Jika terasa sangat dingin, batalkan mode kuat ini sebagaimana disebutkan dalam PEMBATALAN operasi KUAT. Kondisi Pembatalan Tekan atau pengatur waktu TIDUR jika waktu sudah habis. Tombol yang ditekan. Tombol yang ditekan. Mode operasi setelah pembatalan Operasi berhenti. Operasi PENGERINGAN UDARA Operasi SIRKULASI UDARA Tekan Tekan Tekan Tekan atau atau atau atau Operasi PENDINGINAN dalam setelan sebelumnya Eaktu 60 menit berlalu. CATATAN (1) Penyetelan ON timer : Operasi KUAT akan menjadi prioritas selama waktu operasi pengatur waktu ON. 35

36 CARA PENGOPERASIAN TIMER UNTUK TIDUR Tekan tombol (SLEEP) dan tampilan pada layar remote control adalah seperti dibawah ini. Mode Timer untuk tidur Penunjuk 41 hr 42 hrs 43 hrs 410 hrs 411 hrs 412 hrs Batalkan pengatur waktu tidur 1 TIDUR Timer Tidur : AC akan bekerja selama waktu yang telah disetel dan akan mati setelahnya. Arahkan remote control ke indoor unit sambil menekan tombol tidur. Informasi waktu akan menyala pada layar remote control. Lampu tanda timer pada indoor unit akan menyala disertai suara beep. PENJELASAN TIMER UNTUK TIDUR CATATAN Fungsi timer lainnya tidak dapat disetel selama timer tidur dalam operasi. Setelah waktu tidur (sleep timer) selesai dan ketika tombol waktu tidur (sleep timer) ditekan kembali, pengatur waktu tidur akan disetel sesuai dengan setelan terakhir. Pengatur waktu tidur (sleep timer) hanya efektif sekali. Tekan tombol untuk memilih kecepatan kipas selama operasi pengatur waktu tidur. 36

37 CARA PENGOPERASIAN TIMER Penetapan Pembatas Waktu HIDUP Pengaturan PEMBATAS WAKTU HIDUP Pilih PEMBATASAN WAKTU HIDUP dengan menekan tombol (ON). Waktu yang ditetapkan akan berubah mengikuti urutan yang di bawahnya. Interval waktu satu jam Operasi akan mulai untuk mengatur suhu pada waktu yang ditetapkan (waktu mulai kemungkinan berbeda bergantung suhu ruangan dan suhu yang ditetapkan) BAHASA INDONESIA Tekan tombol untuk memilih kecepatan kipas selama operasi pengatur waktu. 37

38 PENYESUAIAN KISI-KISI ALIRAN UDARA 1 Setelan ini berfungsi untuk mengarahkan hembusan udara mengarah keatas atau kebawah. Posisi ini akan mengarah ke posisi yang ideal sesuai dengan penyetelan fungsi pendinginan atau pengeringan udara. Penyetelan ini dapat dilakukan dengan menekan tombol ( AUTO SWING ). Jika tombol ( AUTO SWING ) ditekan, pengarah hembusan angin horisontal akan bergerak keatas dan kebawah. Jika tombol ini ditekan lagi maka ia akan berhenti pada posisi saat tombol ditekan. Dibutuhkan waktu sekitar 6 detik sebelum pengarah ini bergerak. Atur sudut pengarah hembusan udara seperti terlihat pada gambar. Pada saat AC mati, pengarah hembusan udara akan menutup lubang keluaran udara.! PERHATIAN Pada mode " PENDINGINAN ", jangan menyetel pengarah ini naik/ turun untuk waktu yang lama. Ada kemungkinan uap air akan terbentuk dan menetes kebawah. Saat pendinginan, menghilangkan kelembapan Vertikal kira-kira 15 kira-kira 50 2 Penyetelan hembusan udara kekiri dan kekanan. Tahan pengarah udara vertikal kedua dari setiap set pengarah udara vertikal dari kanan seperti yang ditunjukkan gambar dan sesuaikan penyejukan udara ke kiri atau ke kanan. 38

39 CARA MENGGANTI BATERAI REMOTE CONTROL Ketika menggunakan unit kendali jarak jauh, tidak ada respons dari unit penyejuk udara dan atau tampilan unit kendali jarak jauh memudar dan redup, baterai dalam alat kendali jarak jauh harus dilepaskan dan diganti dengan yang baru. 1 2! Buka tutup baterai di remote control dan keluarkan baterai yang sudah usang. = Pasang baterai baru, Posisi pemasangan baterai harus sesuai dengan petunjuk yang ada dalam kotak baterai. PERHATIAN BAHASA INDONESIA 1. Jangan menggunakan baterai baru dan lama bersamaan atau menggunakan baterai jenis lain. 2. Keluarkan baterai bila alat ini tidak digunakan untuk waktu yang lama. 3. Gunakan baterai AAA bermutu tinggi dan berkinerja baik untuk menghindari masa pakai baterai yang pendek dan kebocoran elektrolit. 39

40 CARA YANG IDEAL DALAM PENGOPERASIAN Suhu ruangan yang cocok Pasang partisi atau gordyn! Perhatian Untuk mencegah Penyetelan suhu yang terlalu dingin adalah kurang baik untuk udara panas masuk keruangan melalui jendela. kesehatan di samping boros pemakaian listrik Ventilasi! Perhatian Jangan menutup rapat seluruh ruangan untuk waktu yang lama. Kadang kala buka jendela atau pintu agar ada pertukaran udara segar. Efektifitas penggunaan timer Dimalam hari disarankan menggunakan timer untuk tidur yang disesuaikan dgn waktu bangun Anda di pagi hari. Hal ini akan membuat tidur Anda nyaman. Pergunakan fungsi timer dengan efektif. Selalu bersihkan Pra-filter Pra-fi lter yang kotor akan mengurangi aliran udara dan kapasitas pendinginan. Untuk menghemat pemakaian listrik, bersihkan saringan udara 2 kali sebulan. Setel suhu ruangan yg cocok untuk bayi / anak Perhatikan penyetelan suhu ruangan dan pengarah hembusan udara pada ruang bayi, anak-anak atau orang tua yang agak sulit bergerak. Perbedaan suhu yg ideal didalam dan diluar ruangan adalah 5 C. 40

41 INFORMASI UNTUK PEMAKAI AC dan peralatan yang menghasilkan panas dalam satu ruangan! Perhatian Jika tingkat kepanasan dalam ruangan melampaui kapasitas pendinginan dari unit AC, maka suhu yg disetel tidak akan tercapai. Contoh : Ruangan yang terlalu banyak orang keluar / masuk atau menggunakan peralatan yg menghasilkan panas. Tidak di operasikan untuk waktu yang lama BAHASA INDONESIA Jika unit AC tidak dipergunakan untuk waktu yang lama, putuskan hubungan listrik ke unit AC dengan mematikan sakelar utamanya. Jika tidak maka ada pemakaian listrik sebesar 5 watt pada indoor unit meskipun unit AC tidak dioperasikan. Pada saat terjadi halilintar! Perhatian Untuk melindungi unit AC pada saat badai halilintar, sebaiknya jangan mengoperasikna AC dan putuskan hubungan listrik dengan mematikan sakelar utama. Gangguan dari peralatan listrik lain! Perhatian Untuk menghindari gangguan listrik (noise), letakkan indoor unit dan remote kontrol sedikitnya 1 m dari peralatan listrik lain. 41

42 MEMASANG FILTER PEMURNIAN UDARA! PERHATIAN Pembersihan dan pemeliharaan harus dilakukan apabila lampu filter menyala. Sebelum pembersihan, hentikan operasi dan matikan suplai daya listrik. 1 Buka panel depan. Tarik ke depan atas panel depan dengan memegang kedua sisinya. 2 Lepaskan Pra-filter Dorong ke atas untuk melepaskan penjepit dan tarik keluar Pra-fi lter. 3 Memasang filter pemurnian udara Pasang fi lter pemurnian udara ke bingkai dengan menekan pelan ke kedua sisi dan lepaskan setelah memasukkan bingkai Pra-fi lter.! CAUTION Jangan melipat saringan pembersih udara dan penghilang bau ini. Harap jangan mencium bau langsung dari sumber fi lter. 4 Pasang pra-filter Pasang pra-filter dengan memastikan bahwa permukaan yang bertuliskan FRONT menghadap ke depan. Setelah memasang pra-fi lter, dorong panel depan di tiga bagian panah seperti yang ditunjukkan pada gambar lalu tutup. CATATAN Untuk melepaskan fi lter pemurnian udara, harap ikuti prosedur di atas. Kapasitas pendinginan akan sedikit melemah dan kecepatan pendinginan menjadi lebih rendah saat filter pemurnian udara digunakan.
