Injil Maria Magdalena & Yudas mungkin bersumber dari buku holy blood, holy grail (dan Jesus s tomb ) yg berasal dari legenda rakyat Perancis Selatan, tentang sebuah keluarga yang mengasingkan diri dan hanya menyembah Tuhan saja setiap hari (tapi bisa berbahasa Perancis dan Italia). Kedua buku tersebut sekarang beredar dengan penerbit dan kata pengantar dari orang yang agamanya jelas bertentangan dengan ke-kristen-an. Dalam injil Yudas Iskariot, dituliskan bahwa Yesus tidak mati disalib tetapi digantikan oleh dirinya, sementara Yesus diangkat ke sorga. Yudas tidak punya murid & mati muda Kalau Yudas disalib, kapan dia menulis injil nya? Injil Barnabas diterbitkan dan disebarkan oleh penerbit beragama lain. Mengandung banyak ketidak-akuratan, contohnya dikatakan bahwa Tiberias adalah laut, bukan danau.
