Buku profil ini mencakup berbagai informasi antara lain sejarah dan perkembangan Puslitbang Sumber Daya Air, keberadaan Puslitbang Sumber Daya Air dalam struktur kelembagaan Kementerian Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat, kegiatan Bidang, kegiatan Bagian, dan Balai, kualifikasi sumber daya manusia yang ada di lingkungan Puslitbang Sumber Daya Air serta produk-produk teknologi inovatif yang sudah dihasilkan. This booklet is prepared to introduce and to disseminate features of the Research Center for Water Resources (RCWR). This information is a means of allowing the establishment of communication networks as well as partnership with other related institutions. This booklet contains information about the historical background of the RCWR, present status and its role within the structural organization of the Ministry of Public Works ang Housing, it includes the underlying roles and activities of its Divisions, Laboratories as well as qualification of Human Resources also innovative technology products that have been produced. Special thanks are addressed to all the partners who have supported the implementation of the tasks and functions of RCWR, hopefully all the RCWR results can become a benefit to the wider community. 9 Layanan Teknis Technical Services Pusat Penelitian dan Pengembangan Sumber Daya Air, di samping melakukan kegiatan penelitian dan pengembangan dengan dana pemerintah juga melakukan kegiatan litbang untuk melayani pihak swasta, masyarakat dan dunia usaha lainnya yang dikenal dengan kegiatan PNBP. Research Center for Water Resources (RCWR) - beside its function to conduct research and development with budgetary support from the government - undertakes also research and development supporting services for the private sector, community, local governments and other water resources related business through a so called "self-financing mechanism". Penyelidikan Kegiatan survei, penyelidikan lapangan, pembuatan model fisik merupakan aktivitas yang sering dilakukan oleh Balai-Balai berkaitan dengan peralatan- peralatan yang dimiliki. Hasil kegiatan akan sangat membantu untuk keperluan disain atau verifikasi hasil disain sarana dan prasarana sumber daya air sebelum diterapkan di lapangan. Investigation Survey activities, field investigations, experiments, physical modeling are typical activities regularly conducted by the related laboratories in line with their respective disciplines, facilities and instruments. The results of these investigations are highly facilitating technical design or modification of water resources infrastructure design prior to their actual implementation on site. Pengujian Bahan Pengujian bahan dilakukan di laboratorium-laboratorium pada Balai-Balai di lingkungan Puslitbang SDA. Pengujian tersebut meliputi kualitas air, beton, tanah dan batuan, kalibrasi alat/instrumentasi hidraulika, hidrologi, dan lain-lain. Pengujian di lapangan dapat dilakukan seperti uji kelulusan air, kepadatan timbunan, pemompaan akuifer dan lain-lain. Material Testing Quality tests of construction material are carried out at the laboratory facilities operated by the experimental station under control of RCWR. These quality test is conducted on water quality, concrete, soil and rock, calibration of equipment and hydraulic instrumentation as well as other laboratory instruments. 10 Layanan Teknis Technical Services Lembaga Inspeksi Puslitbang SDA merupakan penengah yang independen antara produsen dan konsumen dalam memastikan mutu pekerjaan, rancangan atau spesifikasi tertentu dari suatu objek yang diinspeksi. Penerapan sistem inspeksi, merupakan persyaratan wajib dalam penerapan fungsi pengawasan dan regulasi, bahkan menjadi mutlak bagi penilaian kesesuaian terhadap standar tertentu. Akreditasi SNI ISO/IEC 17020: sebagai lembaga inspeksi untuk kinerja Pos Duga Air, IPAL, dan Jaringan Irigasi. Inspection Institue RCWR is an independent intermediary between producers and consumers in ensuring the quality of work, the design or specification of an inspected object. The application of the inspection system, a mandatory requirement in the application of supervisory and regulatory function, even an absolute standard for the assessment of the suitability of the particular. Accreditation of SNI ISO/IEC as an inspection institution for the water level station performance, wastewater treatment plant, and irrigation network. Advis Teknik Stakeholder yang mempunyai permasalahan teknis di bidang SDA dapat meminta bantuan advis teknis dari para ahli pusat Litbang SDA. Melalui kegiatan ini akan diberikan rekomendasi teknis melalui diskusi (home doctor) maupun kunjungan ke lapangan. Technical Advices Stakeholders who have water resources technical problem may request technical advice from Research Center for Water Resources experts.
