ABSTRAK Skripsi ini berjudul The Translation of Morphemic Shifts in Sidney Sheldon s Bloodline into Garis Darah by Threes Susilastuti, yang merupakan suatu analisis tentang pergeseran pergeseran pada tataran morfem dan terjemahannya antara teks bahasa sumber (English) dari sebuah novel karya Sidney Sheldon berjudul Bloodline ke dalam teks bahasa sasaran (Bahasa Indonesia) berjudul Garis Darah yang diterjemahkan oleh Thress Susilastuti. Landasan teori yang digunakan adalah teori Maurits Simatupang (1999) yang menjelaskan tentang pergeseran dalam terjemahan pada tataran morfem dan teori Nida (1967) yang menjelaskan tentang morfem. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kepustakaan untuk mencari teori yang mendukung dan metode kualitatif untuk menganalisis data. Dari hasil analisis diperoleh bahwa pergeseran terjemahan dalam tataran morfem terjadi dari morfem ke kata dan dari morfem ke frase. Suffix s dan variasinya sebagai penanda jamak diterjemahkan dengan pengulangan kata dasar secara keseluruhan, sebagian dan menggunakan kata para, semua dan beberapa, suffix less sebagai penanda kata sifat diterjemahkan untuk menyatakan makna tidak dengan menggunakan kata tak, suffix ly sebagai penanda kata sifat dan kata keterangan diterjemahkan menjadi kata yang, dengan, secara dan pengulangan kata dasar, suffix ful sebagai penanda kata sifat diterjemahkan untuk menyatakan makna penuh dengan menggunakan kata sangat, penuh dan yang, suffix er sebagai penanda kata benda dan menyatakan perbandingan kata sifat diterjemahkan menggunakan kata ahli, orang dan lebih, suffix est sebagai penanda perbandingan kata sifat diterjemahkan menggunakan kata paling, suffix able sebagai penanda kata sifat diterjemahkan menggunakan kata bisa, suffix ing sebagai penanda present participle diterjemahkan menggunakan kata yang dan sangat.
