1 ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of environmental uncertainty and organizational culture on the relationship budgetary participation and managerial performance. In this regard, the study tried to identify whether there is any effect of environmental uncertainty and organizational culture on the relationship budgetary participation and managerial performance in a private university in the city of Bandung. The author uses research methods causality hypothesis, the method of testing the hypothesis that the relationship of one variable causes another variable. Samples were taken using a convenience sampling method with a total sample of 4 universities. Hypothesis testing is performed using simple regression and moderated regression analysis. The results showed that there was a positive significant relationship between participation whice budget and managerial performance. Results from this study also show that environmental uncertainty is a variable that can strengthen the relationship between budgetary participation and managerial performance, whereas organizational culture is a variable that can weaken the relationship between budgetary participation and managerial performance. 2 ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh ketidakpastian lingkungan dan budaya organisasi terhadap hubungan partisipasi anggaran dengan kinerja manajerial.. Berkenaan dengan hal tersebut, maka penelitian ini mencoba untuk mengidentifikasi apakah terdapat pengaruh ketidakpastian lingkungan dan budaya organisasi terhadap hubungan partisipasi anggaran dengan kinerja manajerial dalam universitas swasta di Kota Bandung. Penulis menggunakan metode penelitian hipotesis kausalitas, yaitu metode pengujian hipotesis yang menyatakan hubungan satu variabel menyebabkan variabel lain. Sampel diambil dengan menggunakan metode convenience sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 4 universitas. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan menggunakan simple regression dan moderated regression analysis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada suatu hubungan signifikan yamg positif antara partisipasi anggaran dan kinerja manajerial. Hasil dari penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa ketidakpastian lingkungan adalah variabel yang dapat memperkuat hubungan antara partisipasi anggaran dengan kinerja manajerial, sebaliknya budaya organisasi adalah variabel yang dapat memperlemah hubungan antara partisipasi anggaran dengan kinerja manajerial.
