1 ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of characteristics of management accounting information system on managerial performance performed on Bandung and Jakarta state-owned companies. Characteristics of management accounting information systems are categorized into four dimensions such as broad of scope, timeliness, aggregation, and integration. These four characteristics are to be effective and efficient if it supports the needs of information users or decision-makers in their work and make decisions quickly. This study used purposive sampling method with the criteria was manager has implemented management accounting information system for at least one year. The method used was a simple regression. The results showed the characteristics of management accounting information systems significantly effect on managerial performance. 2 ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh karakteristik sistem informasi akuntansi manajemen terhadap kinerja manajerial yang dilakukan pada perusahaan BUMN Bandung dan Jakarta dan sekitarnya. Karakteristik sistem informasi akuntansi manajemen dikategorikan ke dalam empat dimensi yaitu broad scope, timeliness, aggregation, dan integration. Keempat karakteristik tersebut menjadi efektif dan efisien apabila mendukung kebutuhan pengguna informasi atau pengambil keputusan dalam bekerja dan mengambil keputusan dengan cepat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode purposive sampling dengan kriteria manajer telah menerapkan sistem informasi akuntansi manajemen minimal satu tahun. Metode yang digunakan adalah regresi sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan karakteristik sistem informasi akuntansi manajemen secara signifikan berpengaruh terhadap kinerja manajerial.
